Someone once said “Leaders emerge during trying times”. These past weeks has been challenging due to the hike in the cases of corona virus which has led to lockdown in some states and a halt to most businesses.
The Government has been trying hard to contain and curb this pandemic, many brands and wealthy people are also doing what they can to lend a helping hand.
Below is the list of some brands who are really doing it right and have gone an extra mile to help keep their communities safe and also supporting people who are suddenly out of work by donating to curb and control Covid-19.
Guaranty Trust bank : GTB donated an isolation center to help and support the Lagos state government. It is also a fully equipped 100- bed intensive care center.

GIGM : GIG Mobility, a Nigerian technology-powered transport company donated buses to support the operations of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
Wema Bank: Wema Bank distributed relief materials to indigenes in affected states in the country in other to ease the burden on government and other corporate donors.

Zorkle Shoes: They are gifting free slippers to the healthcare workers on the front lines and the families at home fighting the crisis.


BUA group: BUA Cement donated 350 bags of rice and 22,500 facemasks to people affected by the coronavirus outbreak in some of the states and also donated a billion naira to the government.



United Bank of Africa: United Bank for Africa today donated over 5 billion Naira, through the UBA Foundation, to catalyse a comprehensive pan-African response to the fight against the Coronavirus (COVID-19) global pandemic.


Stallion Empowerment Initiative: produced rice and fish free to all the government-run hospitals dedicated to Covid-19 for the next 3 months and committed one staff bus each for the five government-run COVID-19 hospitals in Lagos.
Please note, there are many more brands that donated and were not included. The list is quite endless and not all brands could be included.
