Heh. He has graduated from trying to eat her to now protecting her. I think he sees her as part of his territory.

He knows you will eat her. He does not trust you.

with these large and dangerous breeds it is veery important to establish dominance. make sure he sits before you give him food . Also I would tie him and flog very well with a rod for that snarl. Even something like blocking your way pretending to be sleeping he's testing your dominance. Give an small kick to leave your front. It's what you want he must do not what he wants.. you must be the alpha so get to it before it's too late

Also I wouldn't let him into the house. Too much love is not good for a dog. Have heavy rods and woods handy to discipline him if he tries to bite you again. So many stories of loving female owners savaged and sometimes killed by their large breeds.

St this age im.not sure their much she personally can do. The dog is friendly bt not loyal it can easily turn on u. I wud personally put him down. It's too much of a risk to keep cos it's a misbehaving rott.

Or she send him to a trainer for behaviour correction. It's bad

I reaf a lot of 0osts speaking about beating the dog to submission...beating yoyr dogs only achieves 1 thing...you end up making the dog vicious
There are free training manuals..use em

I have am anatolian shepherd and siberian husky mix who is very territorial but extremely meek at home but will tear an intruder to peices in secs

His recent behaviour can also be attributed to his romantic affairs with Matilda, your chicken. He's just trying to impress her.

My dog finds it so easy to embarrass me before the world, as I said before in one of the thread here, she's now a full-blown lesbian, and I am currently looking for buyers.

Jesus Christ grin grin shocked shocked shocked

Bro all dogs get to that stage of wanna be boss. All u got to do is show him who is boss.. I could remember my late gsd jack, when he was 3years that dog became something else, barked and chased my siblings, jack bit me on my leg when I wanted to open the gate, but I showed him who the boss is
Re: My Rott's Naughty Behavior: I Need Advice Please by leisuretym: 2:13pm On Apr 25, 2020
you are playing with fire, but his transition is too fast, my friend's boss got one , he got home one day and realized he was looking at a wild animal and not a dog anymore, he had to call a mopol stationed nearby who helped shot the dog.

Op you have made a very big mistake by backing down when your dog challenged your position, now he is the alpha of the house yes!..The way we live in families dogs live in packs and a pack must have a leader whose position most be merited...you may be taking this as a joke but dominant dog breed such as rotts, Boerboels, Caucasians,e.t.c require a firm hand that's why there re nt recommended for first time owners who ll get scared when a dog challenges them...Don't be surprise if your dog attacks you or your family one day.

Correct your mistake show him no fear and spank him to submission next time he challenges you...tho with his age it may be difficult for you..good luck
He challenged you to the dominant male of the house and you backed down. You dog now sees itself as the Alpha male, and there is nothing you can do, unless you challenge him again and subdue him. That's the way things work in the animal kingdom. Even with lions, you must never let the male that offers a challenge to win, once you back down you are finished. That's why circus trainers will tell you never to allow your lion to challenge you and if one did, never back down but punish him for insubordination.

What you need to do now to get back your respect and dominance is, buy thick leather boots and gloves, get a thick koboko, then go out and challenge him by giving him an order. If he refuses, koboko the hell out of him. He will attack but your boots and gloves should protect you. After you beat the hell out of him, he will bow down and submit and never challenge you again, or mark your house as his territory. This is how dog trainers subdue stubborn and even wild dogs.

If you can't do that, then sell him to a dog trainer or euthanize him. If not he will cause serious harm to you or someone you love.

As a lady or woman or girl, don't ever breed or keep large species of animals as pet, be it dog, cat or whichever.

Go for the small Bunnie.

You cannot discipline that dog, the dog may get aggressive and bite you hard, don't listen to people here. Sell that dog and go for those tiny dogs with large furr

There is no easy way .. The dog might behave for this guy yet still disrespect you. The first step is he must sit and stay seated before u drop his food. He must recognize your 'no'. You have to make your 'no'sound very imposing. then be ready to discipline and self defend at the same time if no doesn't work

Wahala dey oooo.which one be readying to discipline him and self defense at the same time... woman faa....

Sell the fucking dog and get new little one u can train better this time....

Lol....you are wicked o. Sometimes ehn, the look on my dog’s face during beating use to break my heart. See me feeling guilty, so I don’t normally go beyond 2 strokes.

In the wild the Alpha tolerates no rivalry from his pack....
If you keep more than 2or 3dogs one will be dominant others will submit usually after a fight.

Few years ago, I bought a 'few weeks old' male Rottweiler. Having catered for the dog for about a year and a half, it attacked me while I was tryna discipline it. Fortunately, it was chained...I had to run for my dear life. I later placed a call to the vet doc, who took it away(sold it)..and I lived happily thereafter. The end.

I know someone that has 2 dobermans (a military man). They sit when he orders them to. It depends on the way you train the dogs.

Dog Lovers, Please I Need Advise On My Rott's Naughty Behavior

I have a one and a half year old Rottweiler named Gift and I don't understand him anymore. We can't chastise him again when he misbehaves because he bares his teeth and growls menacingly at us if we try to spank him for being naughty. He welcomes us when we come home like any loyal, loving pet, but yesterday he shocked me. Usually as we are about to enter the house he playfully holds one foot down so we can't enter, or he jumps on you and hugs you tight so you can't move. When I got back from work yesterday I was exhausted and I didn't have energy for his play so I hugged him briefly but as I entered the house I mistakenly stepped on his right hindpaw.

He howled, left me, and lunged at me, this time to bite me. He actually narrowly missed my arm.

I was mad. I turned and yelled "Gift are you mad?" He bared his fangs and barked at me. Me sef I bared my teeth at him and ordered him to stand down. He growled, me sef I growled back. Do you know this dog kept advancing menacingly at me and barking? I quickly borrowed myself brain and locked the door. Werey dog.

I can't shoo Matilda, my chicken in his presence. He covers her with his body and warns me away. And now, the most perplexing thing is he now marking every where in the compound. My sib came visiting and before he entered the house, he quickly relieved himself outside because he was very pressed. Do you know Gift went to where the dude urinated and peed on top? It has gotten so bad now that Gift entered the house and marked different sections of the corridor and smaller dining area with pee.

Now, I don't know if this is classic Rott behavior or if he is just being indisciplined. I confess we spoilt him a bit because he is such a sweet animal when he is not misbehaving.

How do we discipline a dog that has grown wings? He is well socialised so it's not a case of too much isolation.

Sell him to Calabar people and get another dog before he gets you in trouble with your neighbors. If he can be that aggressive to you one wonders what he will do to your guests or neighbours

Put him in a cage and feed it there for 4 days straight. Don't let him out. Then after 3 days, let him out only at night. Then after 5 days, he will learn his lesson. He will bark all the time he is in the cage but pay a deaf ear to him.

I think he is in a phase of transitioning,he will come around.
I had one too(Ronaldo),not a rott though, after a while he started misbehaving, but he later calmed down.
That dog will not calm down, it's a power hungry testosterone fueled male rottweiler. You need to regain your position as the pack leader. I can make suggestions but you will call the police to arrest me for animal brutality.
