Federal government has launch new E-learning portal for primary and secondary school student, to ease the tension and long effect the pandemic is causing in the school system.

Mr chukwuemeka Nwajiube the Minister of state for education make a briefing about the essence of the portal and why such measure was taken to barter the long stay at home due to the pandemic. He made the briefing in abuja on friday addressing the issue the school system is facing and why the E- learning process we help at this time.

In his statement he said the nigeria government is keen towards making sure the current health situation faced by the nation, we not be hinder our beloved children's from getting access to education while the country is working tirelessly to fight the virus.

To combat the effect of the pandemic in the school system, two portal were launch to address the need of learning while staying at home. The two portal are:

1 . Mobileclassroom.com.ng

2 . Schoolgate.ng

These two website is expected to fill in the gap of the physical and face to face school system while we combat the virus.

The minister in his statement in abuja said the portal we be free for all pupil and student and no fee is charge or we be collected before having access to the site. The minister also the way and method of learning in the portal. He said time table have been schedule on the process of learning and anyone interested should visit the federal ministry of education website to have access to the schedule.

He also said the website is user friendly and can be access using the mobile phone. The minister said he had call on all network operator to assist in this process through fast internet service and data, for all to have good access to the site.

The online learning we be coordinated by the UBE (Universal Basic Education) to ease the process and give report on how it is meeting needs.

The minister of Education Mr Adamu who was also in attendance make a statement of how the E-learning site we do a great deal at this time and also to assist parents. He said telecommunication company like Airtel has already started with a free access to the site with their network and they are expecting other telecom giant to do same.

A good development....but I wonder how children who's parents don't have access to the internet will cope....anyways, let's see how it goes

MR. minister i have been trying to access the two portal using the free internet access by the AIRTEL company but is not loading.....we are ready to learn via this platform but airtel internet connection to the portal is not free as claim....so the ministry should help us look into the matter.....
