Transsion still rules in Nigeria and in many African countries.

It will take a very long time to defeat Transsion in Africa.

I do not use tecno, infinix or itel..... But they sells more than others in Africa

Many people in Nigeria are still afraid to buy other cheap Android phones from different companies like (Xiaomi, Huawei, umidigi, oukitel, doogee and others bc of unavailability of parts).

Parts are not readily available and if you see the parts here, they are expensive.

They do not have resell value aside Xiaomi

After more than 6 years of using different transsion phones, I can say unapologetically that their phones are scraps.

Tell dem oh. They think creating different threads with different likes is the same in the real world. The reality is that those brands can't sell well in Nigeria, probably little sales in some selected cities .

Theory is different from Practicals.

I don't need to say too much in defense of Tecno Phones, but when I am on the street I try as much as possible to look at peoples hand to carry out my personal survey, mostly what I see in people's hand is TECNO.

One phone is leading on the streat of internet,
While TECNO is leading on the street of reality.

We can't dispute the fact that Xiaomi is miles better than Tecno and Infinix, but I don't see how Xiaomi can overtake them in the near future as far as Nigeria market is concerned.

I really don't understand what you mean by winning?

Is it in terms of popularity?
Is it in area of wide Market awareness?
Is it in large sales?
Is it in after sales repair?
Is it in availability of hardware parts?

If it is in those area I listed above , You sure knows TECNO rules!!!.

Exactly! Tecno will not fold their hands and watch these other brands control the market. Don't underestimate the power of market leader

It's funny how you guys come in here in your small eco-chambers and think you've completely tilted the market space. Regardless of how we all feel about transsion phones, the FACT is that their brands are going strong. Not because people are so ignorant or that their phones are far superior, it coz they offer people affordability, good specs, good marketing and after sales services. The likes of Xiaomi have completely ignored African markets coz we have low purchasing power and therefore as far as I'm concerned I see Tecno and Infinix continue to hold a significant majority share in the smartphone space.

chai first sentence got me...then I read further only to realize u missed it. Tecno is not affordable, for the past 5years or more these guys have been selling overpriced shits not until Xiaomi n d rest made them to reduce the price..( Example Tecno Camon X pro cost 77500 when it was launched with p23 cpu, this thrash that shouldnt be up to 40k)
Kindly tell list 5 Tecno phones with good spec and I will list ten cheaper android phones with better spec.

Only Edge Tecno got is their aggressive marketing, and people are ignorant of the thrash. most people na picture , movie ,call Nd candy crush types

when I talk about cheap I'm talking about phones that start off in the 20k price ranges where the likes of Xiaomi and Samsung do not participate. And as such this image of being affordable is carried on across the entire brand. I understand people are not tech savvy and most won't mind about things like processors coz to average users that's is pointless. Things people mind are battery size, storage space, internet speed, cameras and the overall design. When u start talking about "Snapdragon", "type-C" no one really cares about that.

Lets get this straight, as regarding the topic, there is actually no war between xiaomi and tecno but rather the "TRUTH VS CONNING MEDIOCRITY (transsion)"

we use xiaomi as case study to compare tecno because they produce cheap phones that their specs are worth their price, ie xiaomi would never in this generation produce a device on a low budget midrange P35 chipset and sell it for over 94k heck they sold a much more better helio G90T device below 87k thats "VALUE FOR MONEY SPENT"

tecno marketers Just like a scorned jealos wife, flares up when we mention xiaomi, But the TRUTH is xiaomi makes better phones for cheaper price.

just take for example

Redmi 8 >> (snapdragon 435, ir blaster, type c usb, gcam,) = 43k

Infinix hot 8 >> (helio A22, No type c usb, no gcam, no ir blaster infact their marketers said sensors are useless in Nigeria) = 49.5k

the only reason tecno is still selling is non-informed on the part of Majority.

huawei isn't cheap

There are expensive phones from other companies that people buy instead of Huawei.

Huawei has cheap ones too... Both new and used.
I got huawei enjoy 8e lite for someone not long ago at 30k(NEW).

But Parts are expensive (Some of these names it's difficult to replace a faulty charging PORT or speaker sometimes).

Huawei and Xiaomi should take African market serious.

thats also the same time that their phones will get a 50% price increase. Coz that requires investment in staff, rent, advertising and all that.
