This is supposed to be a hospital but market surrounded it.

Is that a private or public hospital, and is it operational?

I think the land was former Eke Ukwu market which okorocha destroyed, acquired and built his private hospital on it. It is among the properties of Okorocha that was sealed by EFCC during Ihedioha administration.

Seems Okorocha and his wife acquired a lot of assets during his 8 year stint as governor! One thing that jumps out at me viewing some of those pics is the bad state of the roads and zero attempt at beautifying the environment! Imagine....not a single tree in sight!

If Owerri and Aba had Uyo type roads, which were swept regularly, they would both be among the top 5 most beautiful cities in Nigeria!

As is there's a better place in Owerri than this. Most parts of Owerri are messed up with bad roads and filth everywhere. So stop blaming the OP.
The OP is an idiot, there are many beautiful areas to cover in Owerri but he went around taken pictures of bad roads, tell me one single state in Nigeria with 100% perfect roads, the answer is non.

An Igbo man with the handle ‘Ihedioha2019’ went round Owerri to take pictures of the lockdown situation and post them on Nairaland. Without any provocation whatsoever, you decided to attack an entire ethnic group and even called them “cursed skull miners” simply because of your insecurity.

In as much as we are all Nigerians and can legitimately discuss development of any part of the federation, please be informed that we mind our business most of the time except when provoked (just like you did above). We would rather call out our governors and hold them to account as far as governmental issues in south western states are concerned than bother ourselves about the situation of Douglas or Wetheral road.

If you have issues with the pictures posted by Ihedioha2019, please take it out with him and leave the south west out of your troubles. Thanks.

that's the supposed mother and child hospital -the road in the pictures is Douglas road. should have been the biggest hospital for expecting mothers and infants. The other governors after Rocha's don't just know what to do with it.

that's a lie. the guy posted just a single road (Douglas road). most state capitals in Nigeria can't boast of places like new owerri -even though I must say owerri also has its fair share of bad roads

This guy just circled around his house and called it Owerri under lockdown. So Owerri now begins at St Paul and end at Nworie lane?

Enyia, if can't go round Owerri to take pictures then remove this things here or rename it Douglas by Eke Ukwu Owerri under lockdown.

Go and sit down my friend. Some of the roads in Owerri are in bad condition due to the fake China roads Rochas built and Ihedioha was already rebuilding them before he was unfortunately replaced by the Supreme Court governor.

If the op is a responsible Imolite, he would have captured places like Okigwe road, wetheral road, Orlu road, and the beautiful areas all over New Owerri, Amakohia and Ikenegbu but instead he chose to snap an abandoned market and call it Owerri under lockdown.

Spits!

Ibo people's case is quiet pathetic. The same Afonjas who have never left theor ogbomoso and Osogbo huts are now the one going around Owerri snapping pictures, did they use magic The Ibo race is doomed!!!! The bolded is very apt. We barely meddle with their political affairs but guess who meddlesbin our politics almost all the time, they are the ones so concerned about who rules Lagos, they shout Tinubu's name from morning till night, dem plenty for Twitter like that, ironically, Tinubu has never shown interest in the politics of their region yet they won't let him be. They are presently the biggest lovers of Seyi makinde even though the man doesn't give a ratass about them. I wish they could just face the sociopolitical issues of their region and let us face ours too. We won't meddle in their issues and they shouldn't meddle with ours too.
