Nigerians have taken to twitter to advocate for the release of Mubarak Bala who was arrested for alleged blasphemy of the Islamic religion. Nigerians on twitter have urged for his release claiming that there is freedom of speech in the country and blasphemy is not punishable according to the Nigerian constitution.

I don't know when Nigeria became a religious state that our police now enforce religious laws. This country is indeed a shithole
