Because value of the currency does not necessarily reflect the size of the economy among many other reasons. There are many other indices to consider, military might for instance. |

The Pound Sterling is not even the strongest currency. At £2.50 per Kuwaiti Dinar, Kuwait has strongest currency in the world and no Kuwaiti lives in poverty. The US have one of the largest population and also one of the strongest armed forces that's why they are looked at as the world power but are the really the most powerful country in the world with China and North Korea fighting for the spot |

Because the world can’t do anything without dollar. Even converting Naira to Chinese yuan u must convert to dollar first. Automatically u involve dollar into ur business thereby given them upper hand. That’s why Americans will do anything to circulate USD$ Because it boost their economy |
