You cannot call your colleague Hitler or use vile words against someone at work. I am not the president of a country, to say I can ignore the jabs thrown at me and continue my leadership. I am actually here. I can see the insults and I am a human being.

I know you guys are enjoying this thread and you want me to keep writing, but it is improper to keep telling me to harden up and “ignore the haters”, while I keep writing for you. I have emphasized the importance of mental health on this thread. I have ignored many things and I was going to keep ignoring but now, things have gone too far.
Hate will always be there, but I have a choice on whether or not to tolerate it. This time I am choosing happiness.

I have live in Germany for 5 years. Traverse nook and cranny of Germany. Have not seen a black doctor in Germany or black lecturer. Others might have seen but the truth is that they are very few.

Well, I haven't been in Germany yet but there was a YouTube video my would-be university posted on their page and the only lecturer shown throughout the video was black. How about that?

The main reason is that Germany did not colonize many country in Africa, the little they have was taken away from them after the Second World War. Your would be university might be using the video as a marketing strategy to target African students, they will also be using Asia person to target Asia market.

yes, for your mental health, as someone who have had to go through mental and emotional issues for a while, I understand a little bit of what you may be going through.

I only follow you, if you notice, I get to see your new update without necessarily entering the thread, all that was just to avoid the drama on the thread, I stay away from toxicity as much as possible.

please, I'm sure many people have learnt a lot about Germany, first hand information, I think that should be enough.
if you really wish to document your story, try to open a blog, a private one, that way you can save your story for life.

I really commend you, a part of me wishes you to stay but that will be very selfish. I hate toxic people, I hate drama, I run away from it and my life has been very peaceful. There's so much hate for successful people, please just stay around your friends, trust me, nairaland is not worth your stress. there are thread for German schools, lives and stuff, there's also google for serious minded folks to make a good research.

I was away on vacation and came back with joy, only to log into this forum again and experience such hate. I cannot ignore this. I refuse to get used to the toxicity. I cannot change it but I can choose not to be part of it. I will stay away from this forum from today. I will only come here when I have pictures to post, then I post the pictures and log out until the year ends.

Every Nairaland thread tends to have heated exchanges at some point. Yes, it's devastating seeing some posts lambasting you indirectly, it's always going to come. You took some time to study/observe the forum so you know this. It's good you're operating anonymously, don't put too much thoughts on anonymous users who attack you, keep running your thing.
You've been through worst experience outside this place. I've left some WhatsApp groups due to toxicity, I've cried and pondered about certain things due to cyber bullying and what have you so a good mental state is vital.
I use your thread and other lovely threads in this section to clear my head. Even things wey dey happen for naija no dey make person reason well.
I strongly feel your mature views, contribution and perception about things and life in general is needed here (this forum).
Just scrutinize things, stay balanced, no stress yourself, you only live once.
