COVID-19: Taraba Government Rejects 100 Almajiris From Nasarawa State by Ravon: 7:47pm On May 04, 2020
The Taraba State Government has rejected 100 students (Almajiris) of Islamic studies repatriated from Nasarawa State due to the flaunting of the procedure, as agreed by the Northern Governors Forum (NGF).

Dr. Innocent Vakai, the Chairman of the Taraba COVID-19 Technical Committee, made this disclosure on Monday while briefing newsmen in Jalingo.

The Northern Governor's Forum resolved that repatriated almajiris must undergo tests to determine their COVID-19 status.

Also, the repatriated almajiris must be accompanied by officials from their state of repatriation, and the results of their tests are presented to their state of origin.

Vakai, who is also the Commissioner for Health in the state, added that proper documentation must be made for the almajiris to be accepted in Taraba.

He said that the state had not started the repatriation of its own almajiris to their states of origin.

He said the state government was in collaboration with the Northern Governors Forum to procure mobile testing kits, adding that such would enhance the capacity to conduct tests on many people in the state.

Vakai announced that Mrs Talatu Idris, the COVID-19 positive patient, who had earlier escaped from the state isolation center had been returned to the center by the committee.

The commissioner, who did not disclose how the woman was found, said that no suspect was being quarantined at the moment.

He explained that the 122 quarantined suspects in the state had earlier been discharged after the 14 days incubation period, warning that the lockdown measure in the state remained.

The commissioner called on the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious case of COVID-19 to the committee.

It could be recalled that Mrs. Talatu Idris had earlier escaped from the state’s COVID-19 quarantine center.

sad
The hopeless thing above me though ... just yarn dust first

Modified:
This thing above me should be ignored by all well meaning Nigerians.
(1) No happy girl with a good growing-up and stable adult life can be this caged & trapped in hatred of the most productive tribe of the black race.
(2) Easy to deduce a case of zero parental/family love and failed & frustrated adult life here.
(3) Transfer of aggression/blind hatred in this case makes this delusional imp get temporary respite from his/her perpetual depression.
(4) Clinical psychiatry's solution for this particular kind of case is to improve their SELF ESTEEM by getting a life outside this kind of faceless forum rather than the illusional online power that sinks them even deeper down the RUBICON of hopelessness.
(5) Lastly, here is a typical SUICIDE CANDIDATE. As the last resort, Tisssaiah or Tusasia (otapiapia) may engage Sniper as a way out of his/her protracted painful misery.

We only wait till he/she does the needful.

cool

atleast the foolish almajiri and their parents now know what the northern elites think of them... if you are stupid enough to spend atleast 5 years of your life and that of your child on the street all because of just 604 pages of quran that had being translated to all languages of the world, then you deserve to be thrown around like piece of shit

Even if you were born a retardrd or a dunce you should be able to finish learning a Quran with 604 pages in a calendar year in the comfort of your house or neighborhood mosques, some pages of quran contains surat on a page like Al Fathia which has few words and you can read a page in less than 3-5 minutes

This taraba is a very Odd place with its own type of governance. The Governor can be away from the state for close to two months and no one can do anything about it.. The state is just on Auto pilot.

How will the dollar thief, hell rufai and co... now rig elections without these almajiris.

Shame on Boss Mustapha.

I have expected him to say something about all these almajiri deportation.

The risk involved and how FG will handle it.

If one nasty incident happen now, it will now be added in Buhari's next prerecorded speech.

Hope you can see the drama between two Governors of the Northern Governors Forum? By the time this Coronavirus pandemic is over, they won't be begging anyone to embrace federalism. Either we do things with common sense or we go our separate ways.

A lot of things would change once this epidemic is over, starting from the types of leaders we elect and how we hold them accountable. Those who were defending Ganduje 2 weeks ago and insulting the NCDC boss are currently learning the hard way.

The North has always used almajiris as an advantage during elections. Now, they are pushing them all around like ludo.

Imagine if these states tackled this Almajiri issue this way long ago. If they have sense they should know this is a golden opportunity to end it once and for all.

For decades now intellectuals including Sanusi have been warning the north on Almajiri and the danger surrounding the system but as usual, they will never accept the truth. Now,that same Almajiri they solemnly adopt are now spreading death everywhere. Karma is indeed a bitch
