As we all know, a few great Nigerians donated billions of naira to Federal Government and Lagos State government to support Nigeria’s fight against the global Coronavirus pandemic.
But something tells me that as usual, the donated money will eventually be shared (if not already) amount a few leaders.

The Federal government should investigate how the money was spent or distributed, because folks in my neighborhood and in many other areas didn’t get any support.

The donated money is not with any government official. It's controlled by a body called CACOVID.
Here is their website. Go and read about what they have done and what their future plans are.

Bros, I appreciate the link.
But obviously you seem not to have a good understanding of how things work in Nigeria. If moving forward is our goal, the federal government should immediately initiate an investigation to justify the distribution of the donated money.
If this doesn’t happen, some of these generous donors may hesitate to make such a move again.

It doesn’t matter who is in charge of controlling the donated money, all we are asking for is to simply justify the distribution of the money; make the distribution transparent to the public.

Nigerians want to know, and the donors also want to know.
It is simply the right thing to do!

You obviously didn't go tru the link. Anyways the donors are the one in charge of their own contributions, Dangote and Otedola are part of the board overseeing the way cacovid spends the money.

You are on point, I didn’t bother to go through the link, simply because I know how it all goes down in Nigeria if special attention is not directed to ensure that the money is distributed accordingly.

And by the way, Dangote and Otedola are not the only donors. There are a few other big donors that directly delivered their donations to the federal government and also to the Lagos state government.

How police, NDDC staff shared N1.5bn as COVID-19 relief package — Senate
By The General News - July 9, 20200104

Senate on Thursday revealed how the Interim Management Committee of the Niger Delta Development Commission shared the sum of N1.5 billion among staff and the Nigeria Police Force as COVID-19 relief package.

National Assembly is currently probing allegation of misappropriation of N40 billion by the NDDC Interim Management Committee.

Chairman of the Senate Ad hoc Committee on Investigation of the alleged Financial Recklessness in the NDDC, Senator Olubunmi Adetunmbi, gave the details of how the money was spent at the ongoing investigative public hearing in Abuja.

The lawmaker said the sum of N10 million was given to one staff, N7 million each to two staff and N5 million each to three staff.

He said N3million each was given to 148 staff, N1.5million each to 175 staff, N1million each to 495 staff, N600,000 each to 464 staff and N475 million to the Nigeria Police to buy face mask and hand sanitisers.

But NDDC Acting Managing Director, Kemebradikumo Pondei, said in his response that the monies were given to the staff as COVID-19 relief fund to ease the effect of the pandemic on them.

“We have to take care of the staff, who are also the representatives of the people from the nine states of the Niger Delta region,” he said.

On the N475 million given to the police to buy face mask and hand sanitisers, he said the Commission received the request from the police high command and the management approved it.

He said, “We work very closely with the police. Without them, we can’t work.

“A request from the Police high command was made to us and the management looked at it and approved.

“We gave the money to Police high command and they have not given us the record of how the money was spent.”
