University Scholarships 2020/2021 for African Students

University of Salford is pleased to offer scholarships to high-achieving students from Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, based on academic merit. Find out more about this scholarship and how you can apply. This scholarship is open for 2019/20 and 2020/21.

SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS
This scholarship is worth £3000.

Undergraduate applicants must achieve A level grades ABB or equivalent. Please see the table below for equivalent qualifications:

Nigeria

OND with a grade of distinction

A recognized foundation year scoring 70% or higher

The first year of a university degree with a grade point average of 3/4 or higher

Ghana

A recognised foundation year at 70%

The first year of a university degree with a grade point average of 3/4 or higher

Cameroon

Baccalaureat scoring a minimum of 14/20

The first year of a university degree with a grade point average of 3/4 or higher

Zimbabwe

A recognised foundation year at 70%

Kenya

Ordinary diploma at 60%

University diploma at 60%

Uganda

UACE with three subjects at BBB or above

Tanzania

ACSE/EAACE with three subjects at BBB or above.

Postgraduate applicants
If you are a postgraduate applicant you must achieve a minimum of a second class upper degree and meet the conditions of your offer by the admissions deadline. For applicants from Cameroon, the equivalent is a bachelor’s degree with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher (anglophone and francophone systems).
