This question I keep asking is how do they get the people they are testing because I am very sure no sane Nigerian will go to ncdc centre to get tested without symptoms.

We are not looking at the big picture here, lockdown without testing is useless,will not work, and is a foolish waste of time, pls the 8weeks lockdown we had what was the outcome? Nigeria can't do anything unless we increase testing capacity, another lockdown is not wise

Thanks for the observation. I think massive testing is an integral part of the scientific model adopted by the Nations using the lockdown strategy. If we are not serious with the testing, how can we predict the rate of the infection and know when the so-called curve is flattened ?

Not quite correct.

Lockdown without testing isn't entirely useless.

It prevents infected people from massively infecting other people.

In this case we rely on infected persons falling sick from corona symptoms as an evidence of them having the virus.

As soon as someone falls sick, they come pick the person and also everyone they have contacted.

We should be testing massively I concur;

But my point is that the lockdown is not useless.

You dont lock down healthy people, its counter productive. If someone is sick at your work place will they management ask everyone to stay home until he/she gets better? Most people beat the virus so there is no point holding all hostage. Just provide incentive for only vulnerable people sick with the virus ( people caught lying will be dealt with by the law) and the healthy ones will still be able to work

There is a better way to say you want to lockdown lagos than fabricate figures few days to buhari's prepared speech

One thing I know is, people are no longer afraid, Corona is no longer an unknown enemy, it's no longer a visitor but our neighbor, so, we will live with it and serve it with chloroquine + zinc +vitamins and yoruba pepper
