Have you done an upper GI endoscopy to fully confirm the ulcer and to be sure its not something else?
If its truly an ulcer, the fact that FOB came out positive and you see blood in your stool points to a bleeding ulcer which is actually quite worrisome.

Please visit a reputable govt hospital as soon as possible for further evaluation amd urgent treatment.

Have you done an upper GI endoscopy to fully confirm the ulcer and to be sure its not something else?
If its truly an ulcer, the fact that FOB came out positive and you see blood in your stool points to a bleeding ulcer which is actually quite worrisome.

Please visit a reputable govt hospital as soon as possible for further evaluation amd urgent treatment.

I was even thinking of creating a thread when I saw this

The pain I'm feeling in my back is as if I'm being hit by a sledge hammer.....

I've tried drugs like gecrol, omeprazole etc...but it only suppressed it a bit...

The scan I did yesterday actually surgested it was ulcer but they still recommended that I do FOB pyroli and Helicobacter test.

Helicobacter was negetive while FOB positive.
My Dad has Ulcer too.

A doctor from a teaching hospital came today and discarded all the drugs I've been taking since yesterday after the test. But he says he'll come tomorrow and put me on Omeprazole I.V before I'll start taking the Omeprazole pills again.
He said the drugs I was taking were for Ulcer at it's early stage.

Did you know any Hausa person around where you stay, ask him for baobab leaves powder they called it " kuka" the one they use to prepare "tuwo miyar kuka"
If you are able to get the powder, mixed it with milk to form a liquid paste...
Do this every week and ulcer won't border you again....
But is like you need to stay away from certain food you eat and add banana's to you diet

The doctor that came to see me today said I should not use any traditional medicine for now that he'll come tomorrow to put me on Omeprazole I.V before any other thing.

And he also mentioned a whole lot of food that I should stay away.

I saw the banana thing online this morning but haven't tried it.

But my brother I am once a victim of ulcer but hospitals won't do better it will always come back....
Those who have experience can testify to this....

I'm not ruling out your options, will definitely get those things and do as you have said just that I have to obey the Doctor for now.
I'm in severe pains up till now and would do anything to make it stop.

I was told by a friend who is a pharmacist that it doesn't have permanent cure
He said those drugs can only suppress it.. If someone doesn't take to precautions there's possibility of it returning...I don't know how true it is..

That's fine then.
Funny enough milk can actually worsen the pain of ulcer and delay healing because milk has lactic acid and can induce production Of more acid in the stomach, so stay away from stuff like milk, alcohol, coffee etc.

I don't know what to do about the pains anymore. It started on Thursday and up till now there has been no breathing space with the pains.

Did a scan and test yesterday.
FOB came out possitive while helicobacter came out negetive.

There has been noticable trace of blood in my stool.
Please help.

Blood in your stool makes it a bit complex if you're not suffering from haemorrhoids. Bad ulcers can be life threatening.

Most people don't know that the treatment of ulcers is mostly dependent on life style changes:

- Eat at least 3 hours prior to going to bed at night
- Don't eat and lay down immediately
- Drink lots of clean water
- Avoid certain fruits and foods eg oranges, oily fries, etc. Check the internet.

HCl is the culprit in most cases of stomach ulcers. The effects happen over a long period of time before it becomes manifest due to unhealthy conditions.

Doctor are lying to you because most of the drugs you are even taking in the hospital re made from the same herbs there are telling you not to take or patronise. Fear DRs
