7 Small Scale Business Ideas In Nigeria. by Macool(m): 5:16pm On May 17, 2020
Looking for a lucrative business idea here in Nigeria, these list of 7 small scale business in Nigeria, will give you some in insights and clues on some of the profitable small scale business you can do anywhere in Nigeria.

These businesses are very profitable and even some of these business even requires between 50k-100k to start.

So go through the list and choose from the list any of the business you like.

EGG SALES

Few years ago, I had the chance of working in a poultry farm, while working at the farm, I always wondered, where the people that came to buy eggs, are selling the eggs to, because, some of these people came every week or every 2 weeks, and they all leave the farm with large number of egg crates, because, the farm is somehow big that we used to produce over 200 crates of eggs on a daily basis.

After leaving the farm, I tried to make some findings about the business of the eggs, that’s when I discovered, that, the people that are coming to the farm to buy the eggs, are also reselling the eggs in high quantity.

One of the major reasons why this business is very reliable is because, eggs are always in demand, and you will surely have market for it, it also don’t require as much capital to start.

Once you have a capital of 100k or less, what you just have to do is, to inform people about your business, after that, you will also have to locate a poultry farm, that is not too far from your area, and with low price of the eggs in crates.

The next thing to do is, get some crates, go to the farm and buy your goods.

Please note that, when transporting your goods to your destination, make sure you are very careful with your goods, because, as you also know, eggs are very fragile in nature, so as to avoid having too much of cracks, as this might result in shortage, or even a greater loss over time.

CATERING

This is another lucrative business that is very profitable and also can be start with little capital.

Although, the word catering can be termed into different meanings by many people, some people thinks, caterers only engaged in cooking of food, yes they do that, but their work is not limited to that alone, because, as a caterer, you can also specialised in other areas of catering like cake baking, making of snacks like puff puff, burns, egg rolls, chin chin, and others.

All these snacks are generally accepted in Nigeria, and there is a good market for them all, it’s just that, before you engage in this business, try and take a training on how to do the best kinds of snacks, that has a very good taste, because, this is what will determine, if people will be glued to your products or not.

The training doesn’t take much time, and it’s not so hard to learn, I know many people that sells puff puff, burns, egg rolls and they are making reasonable profits from this business everyday.

One of the thing you have to consider while setting up this business is the location, with 100k or even less you start your own catering business and start making profit as soon as possible, once you get all the things right with the business.

SACHET WATER SALES/DISTRIBUTION

This business can even be started with even no capital in some cases, or at least with as small as 10-20K.

This is a very good business, because, there is no way the producers can sell their products without the involvement of distributors, and that is how the business of sachet water distribution is another good business opportunity.

The business work in the sense that, the distributor request for a certain amount of bags of sachet of water, which the producer will deliver to him or her anytime the distributor want the products.

The distributor makes huge profit from this business because, he or she will be giving commission on every bag sold by him or her, the commission for a bag can vary from 10 to 15 naira or even more, depending on where you are staying, so this means that the larger your customer base, the bigger your profit.

Another reason why I like this business is that, you don’t have to produce or buy anything, it’s the producer that take care of everything, all you just have to do is, to get more customers, because, this will make you earn huge profits on a daily basis.

With this business, you can make up to 5,000 naira, or even more, depending on your customer base.

INFORMATION MARKETING

This is one of the business in Nigeria you can start even with less than 50k, and the only thing that you will need most of this money for is advert, because, this is greatly, the most important part of this business.

This business is very profitable, because, once you discover a problem, and you find a solution to it and sell it online, you will surely make profit because, there are thousands of people, if not even millions of people in this country looking for such information, just to solve their problems.

All you just have to do is to make sure, you research your solution very well, before putting it up as an information product.

Also, make sure that the advertisement is done properly, because, this is the backbone of this business.

You can use for Facebook ads for this, by creating a Facebook page for your business and promote your products from there, for as low as $1 per day.

POULTRY

Even though this business looks like a large-scale business to some people, but the fact is that you can still manage and do it on a very low budget even with as low as 50k.

But take note, to start poultry with this amount of money, that means you already have a place, where you can keep your chickens, it could be at the backyard of your house or somewhere else.

To be do these business successfully, I will advise you to learn the basics of poultry farming, this can be done by reading articles or watching videos online.

You can also try and buy one or two books written, specifically, as a guide on successful poultry farming, taking courses and attending seminar on poultry farming is also a good idea.

Also, you can start your own poultry farming small, with less than 100k, with this, you can get two cartons of Broilers, their feeds, medicines, feeders, drinkers, and other things needed, and start your poultry farm from there and grow big in the future.

Also you can also make good money from affiliate programs, with high paying websites and companies on the internet.

MINI-IMPORTATION

This business can be done with even as low as 50k, just as the name implies, this business works in the sense that, you buy goods from abroad, and sell it for higher prices here in Nigeria.

The goods, can be bought online through some of the international E-commerce websites like, Alibaba, AliExpress, Amazon, eBay and others.

Hello Ezypretty, I didn't get your mention because you did not tag me properly. The honey is original and will definitely pass the universal honey tests(you can either Google it or I'll explain it in detail when you're ready).

Find below our price range for distributors.

TheLioness:

Not ragolis dear. They are well-packaged in neat and uniform bottles with labels. #9000 is for twelve(12) 270ml bottles, which will be retailed at #1000-1500(depending on the customer and your marketing expertise).

I'll mention your moniker when pictures of the product is ready. For now, you can send me a pm if you have any further enquiries.
