Globad: GoldenJulius: Did you understand the table before commenting? What do you think is the meaning of the fourth column? heykims:Sorry o. If you schooled well, you would have known the meaning of "gross" with reference to salaries. Learn the meaning of gross, then back and look at the table again. |

MoIbrahim:So ur point is that the gross should be the take home and no deductions should come in? I'd expected u to reason better as an academic. 8 Likes |

hoMegas: 1. This is not about any part of Nigeria pls. As reasonable people, we should think about our collective well-being and progress. If countries are able to unites races, then it's a huge shame that Nigeria cannot unite tribes of the same race. 2. Age has nothing to do with it. Itnis about having responsible leaders, not those who take their children to school abroad while they stay behind to destroy the local universities. Yahaya Bello is younger than both Ambode and Sanwo-Olu, but the difference is more than clear. 3 Likes 1 Share |

forget about professor's take home. let's talk about Madagascar's cure for Corona virus. what have they contributed apart from routine & conventional research with little or no addition to inventions & innovations already made. |

galaxy2020: Then use the knowledge that a professor that you know does not depend on his salary alone, to be "doing well". 1 Like |

Sunmolar:How do you compare research output of someone who sponsors research out of the meagre pay above with that of other countries who get jumbo pay and still give huge research grants and allowances? Does that make any sense? By the way, the pic below answers the first part of your post... 3 Likes

MoIbrahim:Mr Academic, u earlier claimed the gross was the take home salary before introduction of IPPIS. That was ur reply by referring to the 4th column when u were asked about salary before IPPIS. |

MoIbrahim: So taxes, NHF, Pension and Dues were not being deducted from their gross salary BEFORE IPPIS? You're just sounding rude and aggressive for nothing. 6 Likes |

heykims: From the table, the fourth column is the monthly gross pre-IPPIS, the tenth column is now the gross after IPPIS deductions. They are both gross salaries, which means allowances are already added. 2 Likes |

Re: The Salary Of A Nigerian Professor After IPPIS (Pictured) by ArticleBeast: 8:08am On May 19, 2020 |
MoIbrahim:But the deductions are for their benefits. With time they will get used to IPPIS. I have an uncle that lectures in 4 schools and receive salary from all. Why is ASUU only talking about the deductions and not the ghost workers and members occupying multiple employment opportunities meant for other Nigerians. 13 Likes |
