Dogs are the loyal companions to men, women, and children. They give you unconditional love for food and shelter in return. They also watch your house for you while you’re away and bark at strangers who dare enter the premises. They’re also incredibly adorable too. However, at the end of it all, we also know that our canine friends can also be incredibly dangerous. We will tell you about the most dangerous dog breeds out there!

For aspiring dog owners, dog owners, or animal lovers in general, you might find that while every dog is potentially dangerous for a number of reasons, there are some breeds that will probably make you think twice about getting yourself a furry friend at home.

Pit Bull
No, we’re not talking about the singer, but rather the most dangerous dog breed there is. They rate higher in terms of human body count and attacks than the Husky. This is due to their aggressive nature and tendencies of dangerous outbursts. In fact, this breed is actually banned in several countries because of its temperament!

If you manage to own one, train it and train it well to be obedient and a little less aggressive. However, one thing is for sure, a well behaved Pit Bull would be your loyal companion for life. So take some time out to visit your local pet adoption center, and grab one of these cuties today

Husky
Much like many of the dogs we have on this list, the Husky is quick, fast, and full of energy. Huskies are also mainly used as sled dogs too, because they can be able to run through the snow and all. The breed does have a history of being somewhat of a blue collar dog, they aren’t known to be sociable with other dogs, or animals in general.

Still, that doesn’t mean they’re not dangerous, because they are. Unlike several of the dogs on this list, Huskies have claimed quite a number of human lives. Such incidents happened as recently as 1998, when the dogs were accountable for fatally attacking 15 people.

Great Dane
When we think of Great Danes, we tend to think about Scooby Doo, the lovable, cowardly canine of the Mystery Inc. gang. In real life, the dog may be lovable, but it would be wise not to get on this canine’s bad side. While the name and size of this dog gives it a majestic feel, there is no doubt that the Great Dane is one of the most dangerous breeds in the world…if not taken care of properly, that is.

The fully grown Great Danes can prove to be terrifying dogs with their size; 86 cm tall and 200 pounds heavy. There have also been incidents of people getting mauled by some Great Danes, one such case was in 2003, leading to the death of a toddler in South Carolina by said dog. Yikes!

German Shepherd
Much like the Doberman, the German Shepherd was and is still known for being a police dog. German Shepherds are also quite imposing in stature, and they are also known for biting down hard, enough to cause excruciating pain, or even send small animals and even humans to their demise.

An incident occurred in 2013, where a woman suffered a bite from her beloved German Shepherd. She ended up dying 2 days later. However, much like the other breeds on this list, these cases are rare and shouldn’t deter you from adopting a lovable German Shepherd.

Malamute
While Malamutes look fluffy and cuddly on the outside, they are incredibly dangerous too, much like many adorable creatures are. Malamutes are helpful sled dogs and the breed is also the official dog of Alaska. Their intimidating stature is enough to scare away the faint of heart, as well as smaller animals, but you can bet that the dog can hunt you down to no end.

Malamutes are also known for having a high prey drive, and this means that they don’t go after smaller animals on the daily, which proves bad for us humans. The last recorded attacks from Malamutes were from 1966 to 1980, and within those years, there were 5 recorded fatal attacks. Lucky for you if you manage to own and properly train one, but we really can’t be sure, can we?

Doberman Pinscher
Doberman Pinschers are usually known for being police dogs, loyal companions of law enforcers. But that isn’t as common today as more breeds are capable of doing what they do. A little less dangerous than the other dangerous dog breeds on this list, but still fearsome in general.

These canines only tend to be very aggressive towards strangers than people they are familiar with, like their owners. There has only been one reported incident of an attack. And that was back in 2011, when a Doberman Pinscher killed its owner, an elderly woman.

Boxer
Boxer dogs are descendants of hunting dogs, so naturally, that also makes them a hunting dog. Back in World War I, boxer dogs were utilized as guard and attack dogs as they are world renowned for powerful jaws and excruciatingly painful bites.

If you manage to win the affections of such dog, then expect your furry friend to be incredibly protective of you. Boxer dogs are great for families because they will protect you until the end. However, if you find yourself on the wrong end with this dog, it may be wise to keep away. One fatal incident of a boxer attack was in 2013. when its owner was trying stop a brawl between the boxer and two other dogs he owned.

Bullmastiff
Now, what do you get when you cross a boxer and a great dane? The Bullmastiff. They are large and have imposing figures on a lot of creatures. Although the bullmastiff can be very dangerous in general, it’s the males that you have to watch out for.

Male Bullmastiffs tend to weigh up to 130 pounds. So if you manage to own one, it is very important to train them for them to be obedient dogs. Just like the Boxers, Bullmastiffs are also natural guard dogs so you can expect them to be aggressive. There have been 2 incidents of Bullmastiff attacks on humans back in 2014. One of which killed a 13-year old boy in New Jersey after escaping.

I own one of these his name is Bruno.

Ops, huskies and Great Danes have friendly temperament and that’s not even the picture of a Great Dane. There’re so many dogs more dangerous than the ones listed e.g central Asian shepherd, Kangal and even dogo Argentino’s. rott’s can perform more damage than some of the dogs mentioned

That’s a Great Dane below
