Be consoling yourself. If the lockdown extends, even 5MB would be child's play.

Shebi you yourself is taking notes of how th SE has been deporting northerners running away from hunger in their region.
What is this one saying? That problem is between you and the north. If the north also decides to send your people away after covid19, don't cry.

Good development. Yorubas can not wait for the rest of Nigeria. I have always said it any tribe that wants to develop in Nigeria must create a nation within a country and fashion its own direction in terms of education, commerce, export and import, everything. Nigeria is not a nation.

But according to Yemi Bureau of Statistics, Ogun is the second highest producer of rice in Nigeria with the SW producing over 32% of Nigeria's total rice output while the whole SE produces only 9%.

Afonjas were jubilating over the FAKE stats. Even fools know that Ebonyi alone produces more than 9% of the rice in Nigeria.

Anyway, when the Nigerian National Extractive industries initiatives release their own statistics, Ebonyi alone is the third-highest producer after Kano, Benue, while the highest rice producer in SW, Ogun is in the 15th position.

Ebonyi produces 1.5 metric tonnes of rice every year.

Yemi should continue deceiving his brothers.

What I'm saying is that hunger is killing the owners of the land but Igbo is their headache.

See the organized crime that erupted in the SW, the 1MB started unleashing hell is on citizens because they were hungry. This was just two weeks into the lockdown o.

So you expect the concerned Yoruba leaders to sit down and watch until Yoruba land deteriorate to the level of north and east? They are being proactive. Things are bad already but not as bad as Eastern Nigeria where the youths are running to west and north.
I haven't heard of 1 Million Boys until the lockdown. Covid really exposed you guys. If Buhari had extended it, there would have no yoruba land again. To show how wicked your people are, transport has tripled across Lagos. The agberos want to recoup their money

There has always been crime everywhere. 1 million boys ko 1 billion boys ni. Did you hear of such in Ibadan or Ondo? Imagine if the east was also locked down.
Lagos is big and has attracted all kinds of people from west to east to north. Even the mafia once ruled new York's underworld. That's a problem for highly populated commercial centres.

Hunger is not killing anyone.
The useless criminals you mentioned are just our bad eggs and there are such in every tribe. Igbo's is nobody's headache. Did anyone mention Igbo's here until you brought your big mouth here? Clearly, the yorubas are your problem. You have not rested since the NBS data that says eastern Nigeria is poorer than western Nigeria. wink

Are you saying if the east has the level of the 'little' wealth and progress the Yorubas have today, then you would be satisfied with that and not aim higher. Those Yoruba leaders are just aiming higher. I wonder why everything is black and white to the average IBO. The grey area is where the real things are, boy. wink

If the one million boyz/Awawa boyz saga happened in the south east, Yorubas will not let us hear the last of it.

It's almost like hating and bashing igbos is what gives them purpose or maybe it fuels their bitter souls.

Don't be stupid, there were records of large scale crime Ibadan and Ogun states.

The East was on lockdown.

Ndi Igbo private citizens donated more palliatives to the vulnerables than the govt of the 6 SW states combined.

SW has a culture of crime. They love free handouts.

Don't be stupid! Crime is more of an ibo thing than a yoruba thing. After the civil war, most of your people resorted to crime to survive. They are still stuck in that hole till now.

You can not compare the lockdown in the east to the one in Lagos and Ogun.
Which large scale crime did you see in Ibadan?

The ibos rely more on handouts than Yorubas. Your emboldened statement confirms that. wink
Meanwhile, the thread is about how some Yoruba elders are trying to teach their people how to fish instead of giving them fish like ibos.

Is it not the rich Yoruba men that came up with the idea of Yoruba Koya to fight poverty among their people? Did you not read the article? Is it not better to build a lasting foundation than to be sharing food and money to people when the resources are there to help them stand on their feet?
But the people needed quick response for palliatives. Governments all over the world did not wait to organize a program before sending out food items and cheques to her people.

Most of this people lost their jobs temporarily and have nothing to eat. Even here on nairaland you see a lot of folks begging for alms. Not that they are poor , but because they are being shut out from their various daily earnings.
And you have rich men in yorubaland that can cushion this immediate effects.

Of courses many individuals gave out palliatives in Yorubaland too and many of your people who are parasites here were beneficiaries.

If you say so.
And the rest of Nigeria welcomed the Igbo's back with open arms. Since then it has become almost impossible for Igbo's to stay at home. Reason why their states are very poor. wink
