When conflict of interest is possible/likely, independent prosecutors/investigators are chosen to remove all doubt (cue even Trump and Mueller). Then Nigeria should veto this request then (you will find out who has more influence). Again, you overnight American lawyers: Flynn, Roger Stone and all Trump's cronies can be pardoned as the US president deems fit. The inspector general, an official of the executive branch, serves at the pleasure of the president and can be fired. All the president needs to do is provide the senate a reason within a stipulated time. Relevant US senators are requesting this and will get it.
