CONCERNED CITIZENS OF ABIA IN DIASPORA CCAD MOURNS OGUNJI SEEKS RELEASE OF ORJI UZOR KALU

The entire family of Concerned Citizens of Abia in Diaspora CCAD the Parent body of all Abia Indigenous Social, Cultural and Political Groups in the Diaspora
has been thrown into mourning over the sudden death of Dr Solomon Ogunji a serving Abia Commissioner.

In a statement made available to newsmen in Lagos, CCAD Publicity Secretary Engr. Patrick Ugoala expressed shock over the sudden demise of the Abia state Commissioner for Environment Dr Solomon Ogunji who died over the weekend.

He said that the death of the Abia Icon is a great loss to Abia and Nigeria in general. He consoled Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, the entire people of Abia State and his immediate family. He prayed God to grant his soul eternal rest.

In another development, Concerned Citizens of Abia in Diaspora CCAD the Parent body of all Abia Indigenous Social, Cultural and Political Groups in the Diaspora
has urged the authority concerned in implementing the Supreme Court judgement which set Orji Uzor Kalu the former Abia state governor and a serving senator free. The group lamented at the delay stating that keeping him still in prison is against human right. The group's secretary general HRH Eze J. I. Ochonma in a telephone chat said "We want His Excellency Uzor Kalu released without further delay".
Supreme court had some weeks ago set aside the judgement of a Lagos state high court which had imprisoned Orji to twelve years imprisonment.
