TRAINING: Integration of Manual Reinforced Structural Concrete Design to Eurocode 2 & BS 8110 with Excel Programming.

JUSTIFICATION: A lot of graduates do not understand the rudiments of design, hence they end up designing a structure that can not stand the test of time. It's always beneficial for one to understand design from the first principle before one goes into the software application. Software will never do anything outside what you instruct it to do. Software is like garbage in, garbage out. In addition, The world is shifting base from the use of BS8110 to Eurocode 2. Hence, it is imperative we join the league in order to stay relevant in the industry.


TARGET: Main target for this training are civil engineering students at their final year. However, interested persons at various levels that feel the training is essential for him/her are free to join.

SCOPE OF THE TRAINING: The following structural members shall be designed to Eurocode 2 & BS 8110:

(1) Restrained slabs.
(2) Simply supported & Continous beams.
(3) Structural Columns. (Axially loaded, Biaxially loaded and Uniaxially loaded).
(4) Cantilever members.
(5) Stair case.
(6) Raft Foundation.

INCENTIVE: Certificates of participation shall be awarded to all participants. In addition, the training manual shall be issued for reference purpose.

TRAINING TIME-TABLE: The training time-table is as stated below:

*SATURDAYS: 3:30PM to 5:30PM.
*SUNDAYS: 3:30PM to 5:30PM.

*Training starts in June.

*There is a live lecture broadcast to participants.
