You have tried but there are two points to note here. You believe a quora quote of another human like you without him/her producing any tangible proof of her assertion.

I now ask you how the baby's body that has been in the mother for nine months and taking oxygen from the mother knew he would know those neurons to tell it when to breathe from the nose.

That would suggest the baby knew of the existence of another one apart from the environment he was in.

Also, how did the brain appoint the nose as it's medium of breathing. Why not the ears or through the millions of pores on the skin?

Their is a belief that God(not gods) exists. The belief is as old as man. Just like a previous belief that the earth was flat which was disproved by journeying round the earth.
