There are private school teachers earning less than 30k a month.
Majority of Degree graduate Private school Teachers monthly salary before lock down was within the range of 12k to 20k, in some northern states some even get paid 8k to 11k monthly.

The administration’s vision was lifting 100 million people out of poverty and they allegedly succeeded in lifting 500,000 (an audio figure). I don't need to ask where the 500,000 beneficiaries are? What matters is that the government have now decided to return them back to poverty from where they were lifted. Naija which way? Please keep trusting politicians and it shall be well with you. Shall we say that from poverty they were lifted, to poverty they are about to be returned.

Why not just regularize them. Make the beneficiaries permanent employees and you can at least have something to boast of. Imagine turning out 500,000 graduates back into the unemployment market? You go con dey complain say hooligans and Yahoo guys, plenty. As much as I abhor these acts both in secret and in the open, what options are on the table for them to make ends meet.

Where is the economic roadmap for the nation? Someone somewhere wants to be pretending as The Almighty Savior of Nigerians. We don't want you to save us with school feeding programs and scams, make the country business and entrepreneurs-friendly through enabling policies. Cut Banks' excesses, boost the security of lives and properties by equipping our personnels, quit your addiction to nepotistic habits.

Poverty have been institutionalized. They prefer untraceable Conditional cash transfers to Unemployed Social Security for which the NIMC National Identity ATM Card can be easily used for and adequately monitored.

They prefer School feeding program to improving the educational standards of the children, they are stylishly institutionalizing the Almajiri culture in our schools. As COVID-19 surfaced, School feeding program turned to Home feeding program, why not kuku tell parents to sign off their children's rights and welfare to you? who sent you? Stomach Infrastructural corruption.

All these Kalokalo gimmicks of swallowing Nigeria's commonwealth. We all know that by next week Nigeria will still request for another multibillion dollars loan. Nigerians e ku iroju o. Keep campaigning for them, in the end you might wake up only to realize that they will always be your masters while you be their slaves.

Take your destiny in your hands. Take the bull by the horn. Call a spade a spade and not a gardening tool. Don't be a hypocrite. Face reality. Naija which way?

How come Everytime the figure is 500,000 when plenty people have been removed and some others removed themselves.
Is this not a confirmation that somebody is collecting those people's salary already.

No amount of sweet perfume can make a rotten fish taste good.
Painting can make an old building look new, but it cannot stop its imminent collapse.

This country has to disappear to reappear. I don't know how but there is no easy way to our good dreams as a nation, or as a no-nation.

Any grownup that still believes in this government or in the next deserves to be sad. The confusion is more obvious than ever, except, maybe a mentally blind person.

The program had a timeline. It was a 2 years program. So that they can onboard new beneficiaries

They will not on-board any new beneficiaries. That's the end of the scheme. And they have less than 500k beneficiaries currently and despite that, they even find it hard to pay them

This is a welcome development going by the policy that established NPOWER. It is stated that it shall be for two years. No one should be taken aback except we just don't want to be sincere in our criticisms. There are many youths out there to benefit from this scheme as well. At least they have enjoyed more than their fair share going by the policy that established the scheme. I know the money is infinitesimally small but let others enjoy it too. NPOWER did not promise them permanent employment. It's just a two-year financial empowerment for the youths. Let the eagles perch, let the kites perch also. Anyone who says no to the other, is selfish.

This is sad!

However, this the reality of the current global economic conditions. Oil money is going to keep disappearing and a mono income economy like ours will only continue to be brutally beaten.

The next thing will be to tighten the taxation belt, citizen need to be ready for the change ahead.

This scheme reminds me a lot of Aregbesola's time in Osun. He used oil income he had no influence over to run the state carelessly to impress voters and when oil prices crashed, his seemingly impressive run of project launch crumbled spectacularly leaving the state with debts.

I am saying give another person a chance to earn that amount that you have earned for 40 months. Some people have it as their monthly take home pay n they are able to feed, rent an apartment n even raise a family with it.

While I acknowledge the pains of a young graduate who settled down for this sham of a programme, I still vehemently mentioned and would repeat every day twice in Sunday that there is nothing good in NPOWER.

it was a political stunt and our graduate fell for it as the usual prey.

This exactly is the problem.
When a graduate is not aware that it is not deepwaters' responsibility to create job for the people.

They stipulated it right before the commencement that it will last for 2 years sọ that they can accommodate another set. They only left them because of planned protest. Í am not a fan of current administration but People just complain sometimes às if they have anything tangible tó súbscirbe if saddled with the same responsibility.
