In a church service on sunday, the husband to the vice chancellor university of Uyo, Dr. Mefin Ekpo was abducted, himself a ASUU member and asociate prof in uniuyo. The abductors according to family source are demanding for a ransome of N100m for his release. ASUU uniyo chapter gave a 72hr ultimatum for his release else risk service with-drawal, the ultimatum expired yesterday and the abductors are yet to release him. All nigerian students shld rise and call for his release to avert another national strike by ASUU.
