Even with them using MTK they used the latest unreleased chips not some older chips and every other aspect of the phone still comes with modern day hardware.. so why the uproar?

If I were a senior transsion executive reading this thread - I would be terribly ashamed. Is this what we pay our marketers for - incoherence, lack of proper research, no facts, hanging on unverified information, cluelessness, lack of tact, and a host of other disgusting traits. Their jobs are on the line, no more free food. If Realme mistakenly enter Nigerian market many of those transsion marketers will lose their jobs, because they won't be able to cope.

You don't get it do you? Xiaomi have always used the latest MTK on their devices... Check the MTK chipsets on these phone and when those chipsets were released... And come back an talk... (Redmi 6A, Redmi 6, Redmi Note 8 Pro and Mi Play, Redmi Note 9, Redmi 10X 5G)
They've always had the first dibs on the newest MTK chipsets...
I have not even mentioned the G25 and G35 and what they're capable of... Because Let's face it, Transsions will Never use those chipsets in a million years... Not when they have a 10 year contract with MTK regarding P22, A22 and P35 chipsets.

Oh as a side not... Infinix did release a device with the SD 636 last year and called it a flagship device.. and priced it at 100k and above... While the same Chipset is imbedded in the Redmi Note 5 from 2018 and I got that device for 15 if my colleagues at 50k...

No one is forcing anyone to buy another brand... I've used Infinix devices in the past. I've used Xiaomi phones about 6 now in 3 years so believe me when I tell you there is a huge difference... Why will I pay 90k for a device with 720p display on an almost 7" screen phone and also use a micro USB in 2020?
Infinix Note 7 comes to mind.

The G70 supports a lot yet you don't find them on that device...

The Redmi 8A, costs 36k and it has Type C port... And in 2020 no Transsions supports typeC
