The idea here is to save face. An outright turn down of the probe will be a slight on the US, an independent probe will be a slight on African countries. So, a middle ground is a review which will likely come up with a result that the ethics committee report is in order.

This is like a mid point for the two contending parties. It is a victory for Adesina and Africa as far as I’m concerned. We appreciate US as a shareholder of the bank and as a developmental partner to many African countries. First, it will be foolish for an individual to think that he is so clean that he can’t be indicted by a probe that is setup specifically to nail him. If you notice, some of issues are with other staff but he is being held complicit. Jesus Christ was convicted quickly because the Pharisees were out to kill him.

The sensible thing has been done by the board. They are trying to include all concerns raised into their operating manual for future audits, which is reasonable and fair to all parties concerned.

Please, don't say things you don't know.
There is nothing wrong in America being a shareholder of AfDB. That's how Regional Development Banks operate in the world of international finance.

For example, there are three African countries who are shareholders in European Bank of Reconstruction and Development, the European version of Afdb. India is also a shareholder in EBRD.
America is the largest shareholder in Asia Development Bank. Are they all clowns too?

The person that chaired the review must be as wise as king Solomon.

They will not probe Adesina but subject the report of the ethics committee that declared Adesina innocent to further scrutiny within the period of two weeks to a month.

They will also scrutinize the process of whistle blowing within the bank to ensure it is not a bad belle thing.

Let me tell you this, Adesina is a first class brain and guess what (but don't quote me), it appears he and Ngozi Okonjo Iwealla are working together to ensure that the areas neglected by Word Bank in Africa are being filled by AFDB which angers the owners of Word Bank. This is a great development. Afdb is an African owned bank and will not be subject to the dictates of America.

Bros Africa as a continent is stupid, America has a share in AfDB as such have a say.

What we should be talking about is how stupid Africa is that it allowed Western world to own share in AfDB.
