I don't agree with that assertion. You are saying the average Nigerian is fantastically corrupt.

Of course.

From registration of university courses to your local traffic warden, to the surveyor general's office to customs and immigration, they all stink of corruption.

There is a Church and Mosque on every street around the country that preaches morals and values though.

But the society stinks.

Publish the arrest of fraudsters and watch how people would come to their defense.

No society can accomplish anything if corrupt practices are accommodated by a generality of the people.

Forget the "religious" houses. They too are a cesspool of iniquity.

.

I've noticed this tendency, especially with what goes on in South Africa. The locals are called lazy because they don't delve in criminality like the Nigerians - drugs, fraud, prostitution, cellphone theft, etc. Nigerians view this as a weakness.

Nigerians are ambitious.

They may consider people to be lazy if they aren't seen to be interested in enterprise whether good or bad.

The real issue is that a good number of the society engage in corrupt practices, even those with regular jobs.

The black man is not lazy and wants to work. It is the only way he is respected in society and able to cater for himself and his family. I have never believed the lies black South Africans are lazy.

Then clearly Nigerians are a danger to others. Really unethical.

Just him doing that with the chicken in public is illegal according to SA city by-laws. But they don't listen. Just a small example of how destructive they are.

Where do the Nigerian doctors, engineers, dentists and other working professionals live? You will not see them engaging in this sort of behavior.

It was built on the back of black South African labour. They used their labour to build the cities to European standards and exiled them to the outskirts of the cities they helped built.

I don't know, they are out of sight, and frankly not as many as Nigerians would like to believe.

South Africans are accustomed to the so-called Nigerian hustler in the city centers. They are often unruly and their neighbourhoods are characterised by decay, much like what you find in Lagos.

Another neighbourhood hijacked by Nigerians is YEOVILLE.
