Post early believers people mostly read more into Pauline epistles, just like as in that 1 Peter 3:7, were comparative emotional state and not mental is what the verse is discussing. Most times, its men who aren't mentally strong enough. Adam wasn't mentally strong enough to stand his ground not to take the fruit from Eve.
