We are looking for a passionate and energetic Technologies writer to join our media team! As a Reporter at our company, you will be responsible for delivering fresh and interesting ICT news contents to our audience.
You would make an interesting angle to a story; plan, coordinate, review and edit contents with the aim of providing exceptional, informative and engaging content.

Your responsibilities includes but not limited to:

- Keep up with all the local and global happening in the tech world
- Cover a wide variety of tech stories
- Conduct and schedule interviews if need be
- Track influencers' work
- Plan, research, edit, and write tech related stories and articles for publication
- Verify information provided by interviewees or other sources
- Finalize news content
- Keep up with deadlines as timeliness is extremely important
- Follow news events and other media sources to stay informed
- Write real and accurate stories so as to avoid any libel cases.
- Write and curate reviews on mobile devices
- Write and curate reviews on electronics devices
- Conduct research on topics within the tech categories.
- Provide thoughtful analysis of information technology
- Undertake an online publishing cycle.
- Suggest stories and generate headline ideas in alignment with targeted audience's preferences.
- Comply with media law and ethical guidelines.

Educational Requirements

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (or HND).

Additional Job Requirements

- Substantial number of years of experience as a tech Reporter or a similar role
- Must be versatile and tech savy ,
- Passion for writing and creating interesting ICT stories
- A portfolio of published ICT related articles
- Strong knowledge of media processes
- Strong writing/editing/proofreading skills and an excellent portfolio.
- Hands on experience with MS Office and some other publishing tools
- Proven familiarity with SEO and social media best practices.
- Excellent writting skills in English.
- Solid news judgement and excellent journalism ethics.
- A good grasp of what drives interest on Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms.
- Excellent communication and research skills
- Charismatic and magnetic personality
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Dedicated team player
- Good time-management skills
