How Africans Have Caused And Fueled Racism Against The Blacks Across The World by Nobody: 10:36am On Jun 11, 2020
Are Africa and Africans truly the instigator of racism?
We all have some level of racism in us; we all have some level of ethnicity, too. We only hide our hypocrisy when we have a scapegoat to lash out on regarding this matter. The US is currently the scapegoat, yet it remains the only country a black man has governed amongst the committee of western and developed nations. With this in mind, should the US, then, be the scapegoat for the many racism suffered by black-skinned people across the globe? Nope, Africans and some African-Americans should take the blame!

Before you skin me for that submission, let's take a retrospective look at Africa's past, what is going on now in Africa, and with blacks around the world.

Colonialism and Neo-colonialism
Many, many, many years ago… Well, you know the history of slave trade. But what comes to mind is how some village heads and kings sold out their own people to the white-skinned explorers for gun powders. In fact, some of these kings sold out their people just to get mirrors, yes mirrors!

Racism against a black man started when the white man noticed that you can bribe him to sell out his own people. Most sovereign heads were an accomplice of this heinous crime.

One could excuse their naïvness, but how do you justify the modern day slavery by our leaders, who open the door for the slave master to enslave their people?

During the slave trade, the 'oyinbos' came uninvited, but today, we invite them with fanfare in the name of foreign investment and professionalism. We abandon our professionals and tag them to be unfit, so we go to China, India, France and every country in the world to bring anybody whose skin color isn't black to man things people from Aba can do -- we doubt our capabilities.

Nothing is wrong to invite an expert to help your country move forward, but everything is wrong when that expert mistreats (enslaves) the people of that country and the government does nothing. We have heard instances where these Indians, Chinese, Koreans who head companies here mistreat their workers and the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) would just keep mute. That is neo-colonialism.

The annoying aspect is that African leaders have become puppets to these white-skinned people. They do their biddings. When they go there to ask for money, the oyinbo man would give stringent conditions, knowing full well that our leaders are spineless. Our leaders have mortgaged the future of the unborn African child to this oyinbo man; the oyinbo man sees this, and believes he can do whatever he wants with us.

Zambia is currently reeling under the heavy hands their rapprochement with China has brought. They seem to have resigned their fate to the hand of their task master.

Africa, especially sub-saharan Africa, has become the playing ground of any man whose skin isn't black.

Eroded Culture
In a similar way as neo-colonialism, Africa seems to have voluntarily sold out her history and culture. Our cultural history are ambiguous; no one knows which is true. Our foods, languages, and fashion are losing fast their strength in the ongoing competition against western or foreign ones.

The oyinbo man looks at us, and sees people without pride or history; we look at them and nod in the affirmative. We can't tell an oyinbo man the name of our food without interpreting it to him. We interpret 'Akara' as Beans Cake. We interpret 'Gari' as Cassava Flakes. Why are we trying so hard to sell ourselves to these white people? Have you heard a Japanese man interpret Sushi into English to please Americans? Or have you heard an Italian call Spaghetti something different in English just to suit the English people?

This is also applicable to human given names. An average Nigerian or African desperately wants to lose his/her indigenous names to some foreign names. We all want to be Tiffany or Jack or some 'Gucci' names. How many oyinbo people have named their kids Chibuzor or Femi or Salami? None. We even go as far as spelling our local names in a way to help the oyinbo man with its pronunciation. This is voluntary enslavement.

Almost every ethnic or cultural group has no authentic historical account of where they came from, except for countless number of mythological beliefs. Our languages have been termed 'vernacular' in schools. Haba people, who we offend na? This is pure inferiority complex; oyinbo sees it all.

Emigration and Gangsterism
Do you know the number of black people who die daily in the meditaranian sea, trying to cross into Europe, Italy maybe? Why? Because people are trying to run away from the harsh policies of black leaders on black followers.

Africans are ready to die amongst the oyinbo people you and I called racist, rather than amongst their own. Because our own governments are worse than the 'racist'.

But the unfortunate thing is that these emigrants, once settled down in their host communities, starts to show why Africans are called all sorts of unprintable names. We start to give them reasons to hate us and hate the blacks in their societies.

From India to Malaysia; from the US to Italy, Nigerians or Africans would start to commit sinister acts to suggest why we shouldn't be welcomed in the first place. From defrauding people to narcotics; from petty crimes to becoming a gangster, we make these host communities hate us more than they already have.

Pharaonic Rulers and Hatred for One Another
Nothing impresses Africans about their own rulers (not leaders). We are ruled by rulers who are self centered, and have nothing to care about the continent. Their kids are living large abroad. These rulers have citizenship of countries outside Africa, so why should they care about the motherland?

Since the oyinbo man divided Africa lands into countries, have we all sat down and asked ourselves, do we want to be part of this or that ethnic group? Have we been able to make countries out on our own without soliciting for the white-skinned man?

Whenever the black-skinned man has a problem with his brother, he runs to the white-skinned man for help. This is saddening. Why has Africa refused to develop? Because we hate each other, and yet we won't let go of one another. So, we act cruelly with one another, and we cry for help from the US or UK.

No single black man country across the world can boast of being technologically savvy. No one country of the black race can be pointed to as being developed. You can blame slavery for that, but how many times have the Jews blame Hitler for their woes? They've taken a giant stride to develop Israel, their home. Why can't we?

I call you 'Yorubasterd' or 'Yorober', you call me 'Fulani' or 'Ewusa', someone else calls you 'Inyaminrin'; you think the oyinbo man does not take notice of all of this? How dare you accuse oyinbo man of being racist when you are tribalistic? Is it the man that is tribalistic in nature that would listen to the cry of his brother in a white man's home?

The oyinbo people know say we no get mouth, so they play us left and right. Our government was docile when our citizens in China were...

Even here in nigeria the same people posting #Blacklivesmatter on twitter hate other tribes and can't marry certain tribes all because of some fable or rumour they heard..

At some point and still now, we do fuel racism.
That much I agree. But we're NOT the instigator.

Our ancestors didn't voyage to other continents to enslaving others because of the color of their skin. They didn't abduct people of different color and forced them to work on farms or lock them up in zoos because of the color of their skin.

Our ancestors never tried to colonize any race.

They never considered themselves superior to others. It's the opposite infact as majority of them suffered from “racial” inferiority complex.

We cannot take the credit or the blame.
We didn't instigate geo-racism.

True. But this is simply intolerance.

The 'hate' in this case isn't generated because tribe A believes it's superior or inferior to tribe B.

It's because of different beliefs and views.

You're very much right. But I feel we fuel it now than ever before.
