What does having a pure heart mean?

a pure heart is a loving heart. it is a heart that has been opened to the inflow of the holy spirit and it seeks only to allow this love to flow to all life. to flow to all people irrespective of their tribe, language or religion.

it is a heart that has tasted the bliss that comes from basking in the presence of God and only seeks to serve all life with no thoughts of selfishness. it is a heart that does not judge. it is a heart that sees no faults but is committed in helping others to grow in their own way and in the path they have chosen.

A PURE HEART

Ps 24:4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. {He, : Heb. The clean of hands}
1Ti 1:5 ¶ Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
2Ti 2:22 ¶ Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
1Pe 1:22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

Purity of heart and of life is essential to our enjoying the presence and favor of Jehovah, and is the evidence of our being interested in his salvation
He whose conscience is irreproachable; whose heart is without deceit and uninfluenced by unholy passions, selfish desires and wicked imaginations.

It does not imply absence of mistakes but a will to correct and apologize.
It is not a life without temptations but one who will always see God beside him in all situations before taking the step to yield.
It is not void of challenges but will not use challenges as excuse for sin.

Fresh! A pure heart is a heart that has been cleansed by God.

No man can attain to the level of a Pure heart by themselves but Thank God you have a pure heart through Jesus Christ by Faith

anything outside of the above  - you are wasting your time "For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God's glorious standard"

Striving to have a pure heart by yourself is works - and we have been redeemed from the curse of Law.

Dont allow the devil to deceive  you- so you dont fall under the curse of Law.

The bible says " that we joint heirs with Christ"

what has a pure heart got to do with the holy spirit? i work with a lot genuine friendly people (here in the U K) who are not filled the holy spirit and not even religious but get on very well with each other merely because it makes life a lot easier

^The pure heart referred to involves a definition from God's perspective. Jesus said that the pure in heart will see God. This purity is God's nature and only Him can effect it in the human heart.
