Belgium national team player Kevin De Bruyne is one of the highest-paid footballers in Manchester City and also one of the highest-paid in the Premier League as a whole.

The super midfielder joined the Premier League in 2012 when he was signed by Chelsea Football Club. Unfortunately for him, he was hardly used by the club before he was loaned to Werder Bremen.

Since he wasn’t able to settle at Chelsea, he was sold out to German Bundesliga side, Wolfsburg for £18 million in 2014, where he ended his breakout season (2014/2015) with 16 goals and 27 assists in all competitions. He was named the 2015 Footballer of the Year in Germany.

De Bruyne returned to the Premier League during the 2015/2016 season when his current club, Manchester City, broke its transfer record to sign him for £54 million, making him the second most expensive transfer in British football history after Ángel Di María‘s move to Manchester United in 2014.
