Job Role

Preparation of monthly production cost analysis and determination of cost per unit and comparison with standard.
Oversee the cost of sales and inventory general ledger
Analyze the finished products in terms of raw materials, labour and production overheads.
Fix the standard of costs for all inventories taking into consideration landed costs, import duties, clearing charges and transportation costs
Analyze purchase price variance, usage variance and review of standard cost on periodic basis.
Evaluate raw materials consumption in terms of actual production yield and state the areas of waste.
Liaise with external auditors for an efficient and effective annual audit
Manage cost centers, cost elements, purchase request, purchase orders and production planned orders on SAGE.
Prepare detailed analysis of Cost Of Goods Sold (COGS) and Cost of Goods Manufactured (COGM) monthly
Implement periodic stock valuation on SAGE
Conduct end of month processing including closing and opening of new accounting and material period.
Execute cost roll-up whenever the bill of materials is updated or new products are introduced
Manage the production life cycle and monitor the back-flushing system on SAGE
Implement the monthly stock-taking exercise and reconciliation of physical stock with the system using physical inventory process.
Provide management with a comprehensive report specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
Analyze manufacturing variances (Budgeted vs. Actual)
Provide management information to the Factory management (experience in areas of product costing, capex).
Identify cost and asset utilization improvement opportunities, and co-development of solutions.
Assists in providing Supply Chain factory information required for forecasting and strategic planning to the finance department.
Qualifications

HND / Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics and/or Business Administration.
5-8 years post NYSC experience in Production and Cost Accounting in a manufacturing environment'
Relevant professional qualification(s) will be an added advantage.
