There's this thought on my mind for a long time time, I think I should share it with you all

I am a Yoruba man and here is my concern:

We have land grabbers called "Omo Onile". A violent rag tag local thugs selling lands illegally in Yorubaland. They sold their family lands for money, spend it on fancy and luxurious stuffs - no real investment. Some royal fathers make their sudden wealth from selling their ancestral lands for money. Not many Yorubas see these as us "selling our lands for money".

Those who paid to buy the lands are now accused of trying to steal lands in Yorubaland

In Lagos, omo Onile are popular musicians' favourites because of so much money they spray them. They kill themselves over lands and who should sell.

The lands now belong to the owners who paid for them

How can you, a Yoruba man then confidently or ignorantly say Igbos are trying to take over your lands, yet I haven't seen any Igbo property owner in Yorubaland arrested for land grabbing! �

I've heard some say Igbos don't sell their lands to anyone. That's funny, how many of you have left Yorubaland in your lives to try to make it elsewhere?

If you create Biafra you will need new lease contract with new payment at current market rate...and if you refuse we will also refuse to accept your property tax. This can lead to default and forfeiture.

Immediately Biafra is formed, all Igbos with properties in Yoruba land automatically forfeit their properties. No 2 way about it. The land use act ceases to exist and the Yorubas would promulgate a new law on ownership of properties in Yoruba land.

That is when Igbos would realise that what they are thinking of doing next 100 years, we have countered it 50 years ago.
