I came on this thread with the suspicion that Nigerians would have ridiculed Islam and it's adherents to every degree. An I was not surprised. But the truth is that it isn't your fault. It is the fault of these miscreants who call themselves Muslims, hide under the religion and cause chaos. And the politicians who sponsor them too. Sometimes I wonder if these terrorist even read the Qur'an. Or maybe they close their eyes when they come to verses that advocate the preservation of life, the verses that say there isn't compulsion in religion, and those that say no one has achieved salvation unless God chooses him, whether Muslim or Christian or Jew or believer or nonbeliever. Most of the verses in the Qur'an can be understood literally, others need insight into the happenings that occurred when they were revealed. Same goes with the Hadith, especially the ones that didn't come directly from the Prophet, but came through a chain of transmission.
