I don't know where you belonged before this decision. If you were a Christian,I can tell you that it is not a religion if you have understanding. The wisdom of God is bigger than the so called common sense. I got to this same reasoning like you at some point in my life but I found grace to see things for my self by not taking everything a pastor says without checking the Bible my self.
