Once they have been taught by trained instructors, women understand the significance of this mucus symptom and from it can tell when they are fertile and within 48 hours, the time of ovulation. The Peak of the Mucus Sign is the last day of any slipperiness. It was given this name because it corresponds closely to the peak levels of oestrogens in the blood just before ovulation
Y-bearing sperms, necessary for the conception of male children, are more motile and shorter-lived than Xbearing sperms which lead to female children. If intercourse is confined to the time of ovulation, the Ybearing sperms arrive more quickly at the ovum and the resultant child is more likely be male. Y bearing sperms survive best in an alkaline environment, which exists at ovulation. Following ovulation the environment changes to an acidic one, killing the lighter more motile Y bearing sperm , allowing for X bearing sperm to reach the egg. So, to elongate the life of the Y bearing sperm you need to boost and extend the alkaline environment. With this logic, giving the woman an orgasm can improve the chances of the male sperm. During female orgasm, extra cervical fluid is released, decreasing the acidity inside the vagina. This makes the environment more hospitable to male sperm, increasing the chances that they make it to the egg alive. Preferably, the woman's orgasm is achieved immediately before the father ejaculates

Confident recognition of the Peak is of paramount importance in sex-reselection. In Billings Method, the Peak is the last day of definite slipperiness whether there is any obvious stretching of mucus or not. The mucus stretches much less at the Peak than on the days before it. The slippery sensation is caused by the presence at the vulva of fertile mucus, discovered by the simple observation of the slipperiness of eggwhite mucus against the outside of the vulva, during the normal toilet procedure following urination and without insertion of the finger.
The key to having a male child is based on the following factors :
1. Meeting your spouse at the peak of her ovulation.
2. Y bearing sperms survive best in an alkaline environment, which exists at ovulation. Following ovulation the environment changes to an acidic which kills it , thus we need to engage in activities that will enlongate the alkaline state of the woman, and that is where natural food and some swissgarde products come in.
3. Have sex in a rear-entry position. Using sexual positions that encourage deep penetration, such as a rear-entry position, when trying to conceive a boy. The logic behind this is that ejaculating during deep-penetration sex places the sperm as close as possible to the cervix, giving the fast-moving male sperm an advantage. On the other hand, with shallow penetration, sperm may be deposited farther from the cervix, which means that the more durable female sperm (which can survive longer in the vagina) may have the advantage.
Let us now be more detailed about identifying the peak of Ovulation.

Ovulation is when a mature egg is released from the ovary, moves down the fallopian tube, and is available in the fallopian tube to be fertilised. For you to conceive a male child, target the peak of Ovulation. Lets show you how.
The three days leading up to and including ovulation are the most fertile. Depending on your cycle length the most fertile days in the cycle varies:
• If you have 28 days between periods ovulation typically happens on day 14, and the most fertile days are days 12, 13, and 14 (peak).
• If you have longer cycles, say 35 days between periods, ovulation happens on day 21 and the most fertile days are days 19, 20, and 21(peak).
• If you have shorter cycles, say 21 days between periods, ovulation happens on day 7 and the most fertile days are days 5, 6, and 7(peak).


• Observe the cervical mucus each day. Right before ovulation, the mucus should be elastic and watery, similar in consistency to a raw egg white. Charting the cervical mucus for at least a month prior to conception.

• Take your temperature each morning before you get out of bed. Just after ovulation, your temperature will spike. Because you will want to have sex as close to ovulation as possible, it is advised to chart your temperature readings at least 2 months prior to conception to get a sense for when your ovulation is likely to occur in the following month.

• Use an ovulation predictor kit. These kits, which are available at most pharmacies detect when your body releases luteinizing hormone (LH) prior to ovulation. To catch the LH surge as soon as possible, it is recommended that you test twice a day, preferably between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. for the first test and between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. for the second test.

It takes two to make a child, thus the man should take note of the following.The father should take steps to ensure that his sperm count is as high as possible to raise the chance of a successful pregnancy from a single session of sex. Most importantly, this means that the father should abstain from orgasm for about 2-5 days before ovulation. However, a variety of other factors can also affect sperm count.
