The Federal High Court sitting in Kano has granted an interim order stopping the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP from conducting its local government and state congresses to elect new party executives.

Justice Lewis Allagoa also restrains the Inspector-General of Police and the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC from partaking in or endorsing the congresses until final determination of the suit filed by Ali Baffa and two others who allege that they are being excluded from the ward congress of the party.

Parties joined in the suit failed to show cause why the order should not be granted and Justice Allagoa granted the experte order and adjourned the matter to September 22 for hearing of the substantive motions.

Since the defection of former PDP Chairman, Rabiu Suleman Bichi to the APC, there has been battle for supremacy and control of the party between factions loyal to former Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso and former Foreign Affairs Minister Aminu Wali.

Why is the Nigerian court now entertaining political matters more than civil matters? Is this the reason we have the judiciary? And look at the speed at which these matters are being handled and judgement delivered. Well, the answer is well known...that's where the money is and Judges must be licking their tongues now based on the steady cash flow

The Federal High Court sitting in Kano has granted an interim order

PDP should head to higher courts in Sokoto or Gombe to fish for a vacating order, It's time to saturate the all the courts in the country with ex parte applications

Apc and PDP both are same useless party using different names. Gone at the days we see opposing parties taking the other to court, internal crisis everywhere.
