An oil and gas firm on the Island requires qualified personnel for the role of a Finance Officer. He/she should possess relevant qualifications and at least 3 years post-NYSC experience. Proximity to the office is an added advantage.
.Ensure that all accounting entries are prepared accurately and in line with corporate deadlines
.Month end close, including analytical review, in a timely and effective manner
.Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and determining action plans to resolve reconciling differences, clearing of conversion balances, etc.
.Identifying and helping to resolve intercompany payable and receivable outages
.Researching/analysing inconsistencies in treatment and areas of improvement to determine and implement best practices across the organizations
.Supporting Central Finance Manager in providing pertinent information in a customer oriented manner
.Assisting in audit requests with internal and external audit teams
.Providing centralized accounting functions for the businesses supported
