When the bible refers to the husband as the head of the home(Eph 5:22-24), it does not only mean the physical head but the spiritual head.

Duties of a Christian Husband/Father
• The man is the Priest of his family.
• It is the duty of the man to lead morning and night devotions in his family.
• It is the duty of the man to present his family as a living sacrifice to God.
• It is his duty to preach and pray for his family.

What happens when the man doesn't take his priestly role.
It is unfortunate that many men don't understand their positions as the priest of their families. In many Christian homes, the husbands have relegated the duty of praying to their wives. Just like Esau, they have sold their birthright for a pot of pottage ( or less!!). Many women are now the spiritual head of their homes and the spiritual always controls the physical. That is why some men complain that "their wives are turning their kids away from them". That is also why many men die at their mid-age. But, the kids are intuitively following the mother, because she is the new head of the home.

Here lies the worst part:
The worst is many priests of the homes now engage in sexual immorality. How can a Christian father brag about having a side chick? How can you open your home to demonic attacks because of 20mins pleasure? Why make your family become one with a prostitute(1 Cor 6:16) because of lust? Stop acting surprised when your daughters become promiscuous and bring home kids out of wedlock at 19yrs, because you introduced the spirit to your family. Stop been shocked when your sons become cultist and philanderers, because you are the one who taught them so. If the head is spoilt how will the body survive?
There is no excuse for living an adulterous life. You can't punish your wife by been adulterous. You are only punishing your soul by risking eternal damnation.
My wife is withholding sex, my wife is fat, my wife is dirty, is not enough reason to spend eternity away from your creator.
Remember, 1 Cor 6:9-10 says, Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality.....will inherit the Kingdom of God.

Repent today and take your rightful place as the priest of your home.

The true Head of every true Christian home is Jesus!

Jesus is supposed to be the Lord, Master and Head of the home .

The idea of man as the head of the home did emanate from God but of men.

God has never suggested that, except after the advent of sin as a punishment to the woman for her role in man's fall when God said to the woman that her husband shall rule over her.

Her husband was not her Lord or head prior to that, but just her marriage partner while the Word of God was her Lord, Master and head of their home.

But since she rejected the Word of God in order to please her husband by giving him the forbidden fruit, God let her have her wish and let him rule over her instead.

Jesus the Word of God came to reverse that curse of sin, that why He rebuked Martha and said that Mary who chose to sit at His feet and listened to His Word, had chosen the right part which cannot be taken away from her.

After Jesus had died to deliver the woman from the punishment which sin brought upon her, it's wrong for anyone who claims to be His follower to still want to subject the woman to that curse.
