President Muhammad Buhari has commended to a Nigerians students studying in Japan for returning a missing wallet with a huge sum of money to the police.

The Nigerian man indentified as Mr Ikenna Nweke was a doctorates student in University of Tsukuba, Japan, allegedly returned the missing wallet and also turned down the offer of a percentage by the authorities.

This was first disclose to the public through a press statement released by the Media Aide to President Muhammad Buhari, Mallam Bashir Ahmad, on his verified Twitter handle on Saturday, July 4, 2020.

"Ikenna Nweke, a Nigerian doctorate student at the University of Tsukuba, Japan, returned a missing wallet with huge sums of money and credit cards to the police, Nigeria celebrates him and President @MBuhari salutes him for projecting the values of honesty, integrity, and contentment." he wrote on twitter.

Later on the same day, President Buhari sent him a letter.

"President Buhari sends warm greetings and commendation to a Nigerian doctorate student in University of Tsukuba, Japan, Mr Ikenna Nweke, who returned a missing wallet with huge sums of money to the police, and also turned down the offer of a percentage by the authorities."
The president also lauded him for projecting the values of honesty, integrity and contentment that should be hallmark of people of every Culture in Nigeria and not crime and Criminality.

"President Buhari salutes Nweke for projecting the values of honesty, integrity and contentment that should be the hallmark of a people, noting that good virtues and propriety are the hallmark of every culture in Nigeria, while crimes and criminality are exceptions."

Furthermore, President Buhari wishes Nweke all the best in his studies and work, urging all Nigerians, home and abroad, to keep celebrating the age-old, irreplaceable attributes of honesty and decorum, and shun the get-rich-quick tendencies that bring individual and collective shame.

Unfortunately for Buhari, the typ of change he wants is being delivered only by the people he hates. All the people who ever returned money are either from South East or South South. On the other hand people who abandoned hundreds of millions whether in Ikoyi House, in Abuja Airport, in a Bureau du change office in Lagos etc are from his beloved North or South West.

Just a letter 4 a noticed act done 4d first time by a Nigerian out there. Atleast a little more to encourage such. Do u fink it fair if £7million returned & pmb sends just letter!
