Minister of defence! Continue to defend what you don't even know.
With the statement of the family, you don't need a soothsayer to tell you that the family is lieing. Are you a learner?or a member of Lai Mohammed confraternity?

I am never emotional on issues. I take a stand based on logic and common sense.

What I find surprising in all of this are:

1. Why couldn't the Governor pick up the phone, call the woman. At times, someone offends you, but you rise above it.

2. Where is the governor's wife in all of this. Did she call the widow to do woman to woman commiseration. This could have helped to reduce some of the tension.

On the whole, I think the government could have done better. Getting into an embarrassing public fight with a mourning woman in the immediate aftermath of her loss should have been avoided at all cost.

You were not contacted through official channel...but that's not a reason not to call the woman yourself to commiserate. Or is that too big for a governor to do?

Ah well...

Ajimobi don suffer. his illness was politicized, his death was also politicised. politicians hijacked his burial and post-burial service. And the wife is a willing tool.

Why are people too quick to condemn late Ajimobi's widow in every incident involving her husband's political opponents?

In this case, either Oyo State Government was being mischievous or there was a breach of normal procedure for movement of top public official: earlier arrival of advance team comprising security and protocol aides to prepare grounds for the big man's arrival while remaining in contact with other aides who would accompany the big man.

Unless, there is evidence of invitation or notice of coming, the question is, why did Deputy Governor of Oyo State just show up unannounced and uninvited?

Sincerely you did not get it right.

Do you think the Ajimobis did not know or were not informed that the government and people of Oyo state would be represented by the deputy governor? How would you ever think that the deputy governor would show up unannounced?

Do you think that as the immediate past governor the Ajimobis would not be honored by the ruling government? Did you not read how the man's wife openly and in a show of power embarrass the deputy governor when he arrived there a few days ago in company with other personalities?

Do you not know that the presence of the deputy governor meant the governor himself was there? Did you not read how the woman personally seized the keys to the gates of the house? Don't you realise that the reason was to keep off the state government representatives and make herself look like the victim? Do you not see the possibility of the woman herself trying to get a political position by making herself popular now? Oshiomole ended the Anenih dominance in Edo politics but the Anenihs never failed to honour him when he arrived for Anenih's burial. Oshiomole called Anenih his political father.

Just like we heard our president fighting against corruption, does Makinde not have the right to fight against corruption in his state? In this case an alegation of the late Ajimobi using his position to secure the disputed lands? Those who live in glass houses must not throw stones, they say.

Have you so quickly forgotten the Ayanfele story when serving as governor Ajimobi ordered the destruction of the young man's property? Ask about the reasons and you'll see the pettiness there. What goes around comes around. It is very unfortunate that what's going on presently. But as we know it is all wrapped in the game of politics and power.

The truth is that today Makinde is the governor of Oyo state and he deserves some respect too from Madam Ajimobi. That the VP and Baba Obasanjo called Makinde to plead with him shows us that presently power resides in the hands of Makinde.

Ajimobi took the matter to court. If Makinde refused the pleadings of such VIPs nothing would have happened.

Mrs. Ajimobi should be advised to thread softly. Life no hard as they say. In times like this politicians forget bitter battles and embrace each other. The woman is carrying bitterness too far.

You mean the beloved husband that demolished a radio station belonging to a disabled person?
Her unguarded statements caused it all.

Though her husband is into politics does not mean she is not human, she acted as her emotions permit her to act at that moment, you don't expect her to be singing and dancing around, she picks and empties her emotions at anyone at that time of crisis, it doesn't matter who.
"She picks and empties her emotions at anyone at anytime of crisis no matter who".....
This is a very dumb mentality, only someone with a low self-esteem will reason this way.
There are men who made her husband, there are men who her husband will bow to as politicians and godfathers so will she empty her thrash on them too? By the way a deputy governor is not just anybody, apart from being the wife of a politician who is she?

"By the way a deputy governor is not just anybody"..... that is why he should have sent his protocols ahead of time to inform of his coming, in life you are treated anyhow you keep yourself.
