Yoruba the weak link in war?
Do you know that only less than 200 Yoruba soldiers defeated battalions of Biafra soldiers?

Do you know that Yorubas like Gbadamosi King,Obasanjo...Ebora Owu,.....Benjamin Adekunle...The Black Scorpion etc won the war for Nigeria?

Do you know that only the Egbas defeated the undefeated dreaded Fon warriors 4 times?

Do you know that Yorubas fought wars for 100 years at home and abroad?

Do you know that a Yoruba warrior known as Victor Banjo was the one who led Biafra to victory until Ojuku killed him and Biafrans were beaten black, blue and red until humiliated?

Do you know that Yoruba have the largest Empire that lasted more than 500 good years?

Do you know that wrapper bearing men are cowards?

Do you know that Cowards do not have Empire?

Do you know that warriors like the Yorubas are not easy to come by in Nigeria?
They are called Sophisticated Warriors grin

I hope this crap has nothing to do with one silly interview given by a Nigerian soldier of Yoruba ethnic nationality who does not know the day he enlisted into Nigerian army? The adjudged best field commander from 3MCDO of Nigerian army was not even Yoruba. The same Yari.ba peeps who could not foster brevity to help Ogundipe.

[s]Is this one war? If that is the case every tribe fought a war... we are talking of war that where and are recognised you are talking of war that almost 95% war Nigerians don’t know about... wait in your mind and the present day nigeria, which region do you think the southwest can defeat if a war arise... is there any south west state ready for war? Southwest is a peaceful state and they don’t know what war is,,, if aboki, Biafra or niger delta/bakasi boys storm Ibadan or Ogun state, I swear no Yoruba man will stand... just imagine several lions attacking a primary school... just imagine the zig zag and bombardment movement around the air that’s what any Yoruba state will be like if any of the above region attack[/s]

Stop saying katikati. The people that wreck you guys in Biafra war are majorly Yorubas both military wise and strategically.

If the Yorubas has been neutral in that war, the outcome would have been different.

The guy also spoke of war in the early century where empire flex muscles and wage war against each other to claim land and glory.

The Igbos at that time we’re still in the bushes learning how to climb trees with the monkeys when the Yorubas and Fulanis were establishing kingdoms.

Even if people will talk, at least people that their ancestors built empire should be the one talking and not some bush dwelling igbos.

We all know of Oyo Empire and Sokoto caliphate, what empire has the Igbo forefathers ever built and what war have you ever fought and won?

The full history you know is the one your grandfather told you by the moonlight, which is quite different from the one the british men on ground wrote

If you read the books British men wrote then you’d know that we raped them and took them as sex slaves.

When we dealt the final blow, the last one standing stood on top of a rock in Abeokuta and screamed, while she was being showered with hundreds of arrows. That resulted in the bitter end of the dahomeys

I came across where you wrote “IF”. That is just the perfect definition the Oxford dictionary should have made reference with as an example to define if as “If Yorubas had the military assets in their state the way Kaduna does they will defeat Boko Haram” at least anybody that check the meaning of IF in the dictionary will quickly understand as soon as they come across “YORUBA, MILITARY ASSETS, DEFEAT & BOKO HARAM”

My friend listen, they can never with they clear eyes or beer parlour eyes move the military base and asset to any Yoruba land.

Your question is if they can fight BH and im saying they can if they have the military asset of Nigeria

After all the same Yorubas sacked igbos from mid west Nigeria Sacked Fulani , sacked Dahomey at various points

They were quick to respond to Fulani attacks with Amotekun

No the Amazons were always defeated. 4 times they invaded Abeokuta and they got repelled all 4 times. To stop the invasions Balogun Okenla raided Dahomey in 1865 and taught them a lesson they’d never forget, the invasions stopped from that moment onward, Ketu, Egbado, Ajase-Ipo and the port of Badagry were then annexed into Yoruba land.

Note: we captured the pretty ones among the virgins and took them as our sex slaves, we killed off the ugly looking ones grin

Do not speak of the Amazon virgins if you don’t know the full story

The sort of dumb statements you guys from that side often make will shock educated people. Hear yourself, Ogun state has land border with neigboring countries and that's why it attracts industries. Chai, such public display of ignorance grin Now, let me enlighten you. Kwara, Lagos, Oyo, Sokoto, Katsina, Cross River, Taraba, Borno etc all have land border with Benin republic, Niger republic and Cameroun. The same way Ogun has with Benin republic (you even claim Ogun state has land border with neigboring countries undecided so why are there no industrial estates in those places?

We had a lot of warriors in Yorubaland that sometimes when I read Yoruba history,it will seem as if I am reading about the Roman Empire. The intrigues, the plot, the victories etc.
It was a culture then that Yoruba warriors must find a war to fight every 3 years and it was a taboo to lose in which case the leading warrior will have to kill himself on the battlefield. grin
They never lost. They had a setback when Afonja, who had Yorubas' weapons at Ilorin, with some other Yoruba warriors(Oba Aole wanted to kill Afonja then) joined forces with Fulanis and their Hausa comrades to defeat Oyo.It was a big blow to Oyo Empire but after Afonja was killed by the Fulanis treachrously, only Ibadan defeated the Fulani's very large army of Fulani and Hausas at the battle known as Jalumi War(The whites prevented Yorubas taking back their throne from the Fulanis then). The rest is history. The current Emir will be the last in Ilorin.Mark this post.I like the way we are now....slow to anger but very deadly and victory ascertained when aroused. Our little brothers and sisters, the Igbos should be learning about the warriors and victorious spirit of the Yorubas in their weekly meetings but their indiscernible spirits no go gree. Na to dey argue with their benefactor and egbon every minute. grin

For list of companies in Osogbo, you can use your Google, I already told you I won't engage you in company contest.

You people should leave Southwest alone and go and develop other regions.

Since 1991 Abuja has became the capital of Nigeria. Why are you not flocking to Abuja and claiming it as your developer? That's because we the Yoruba's are accommodating. Try these nonsense with an Hausa and you'll see pepper.

Don't worry we'll soon chase your ass out and send you packing to your desert.

Edo’s are slave to no one, it’s like you guys don’t know how we’ve been rising up with the EDO NO BE LAGOS slogan so far. You can’t create a boundary between the Edo’s and Igbos as there is no margin for that so don’t play smart calling us Igbo slaves, you guys can actually blab about it but every region is against the Yorubas and there is nothing you will say or do to change that fact
