But seriously, It is the Federal Government via the Minister of Foreign Affairs (may be with the Commissioner of Diaspora Affairs present) who the Reps should have pressured to query the Ambassador on this matter and the former will brief them afterwards.

First of all, the reps have no power to summon a diplomat talkless of an ambassador.. Even if its nigeria ambassador to another country. NASS have no authority to summon an ambassador.. Only the executive head which is the President can summon them. Make una do ur homework before making a case out of nothing. He has every eight to work out on them so also a Nigerian ambassador have right to work out on any Parliament. Immunity covers them.

It is clearly stated dt the reason for the walkout was because of the disagreement with the committee, about the press being present. He wasnt disrespectful for the sake of it.When he was summoned he wasnt told the press would be there, so his leaving is understandable.

When negotiating prisoner releases you cant just speak off the cuff to the press on behalf of your government.
