I was bored earlier, so I went back in time to grab screenshots and show nairalanders what this site looked like from when it was created in 2005 till now. Drop your comments if you think it's UI went through any major changes.

Here's the order of the pictures sorted according to year:
2005
2006
2007
2008
2010
2011
2012
2013
2014
2020

Looks like the last time it had a major upgrade was in 2012.

Seun is not a good programmer. He's more of a business man than a programmer.

Even the over 2 million users is as a result of poor logic.

It will surprise you to know that nairaland actually have less than 1 million users.

It can be lower than that because nairaland registers emails permanently, though you can delete your account but you cannot reuse your email hence their increasing members stats.. It's a cham.

Even facebook loses users daily in great folds nairaland is not an exception eitherr.

I'm one of nairaland early users, at it's early stages you could get good advise from people. Now they just insult you just to get likes.

Just politics at frontpage, snakes and rapes though that was NL core values. What about tech business, career, programming none of them don't make frontpage anymore!

Who said i wanted to be hearing about politics every single day and rapes and birthdays? Am really disappointed.. NL lost a great user like me a long time ago. Adios

There is a project called "way back machine" . The project aims and objectives was to get copy of all web pages that exist on web sphere and save it to a central location/computer for historical reference.

See example here

https://archive.org

Modified
This is the original project website, I had been using it as far back as 2010.

That's because kids are many with less restrictions on usage of words by the founder. I believe if seun should implement even simple algorithm to filter some words, nairaland will be a great forum for African. He tried it with some words but the implementation was poor as users still used those words.
