Elsevier Recognises Landmark’s Exploit In Scopus Publication by LandmarkUnivers: 5:26pm On Jul 10, 2020
Elsevier, the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature in the world, has issued Landmark University a congratulatory message in recognition of the University’s over 1000 Scopus-indexed publications.
The message was conveyed on 29th June 2020 by the Elsevier Core Research Solution Consultant, Mr Khalid Shalan, with such gusto during a collaborative webinar hosted by Elsevier for the University’s Faculty and Staff with a view to empowering them for quality and impactful research during lockdown. As at the time of the message, 1077 Scopus-indexed publications authored by 556 researchers had affiliation to Landmark University.
According to Mr Shalan, Landmark University has been making a tremendous geometric progression in the number of publications every year with a consistent focus on its agrarian vision. He emphasised the impact of these publications globally while commending the effort of the University at ensuring quality research are carried out in her area of interest.
Noteworthy was the significant position of Landmark having the 2nd largest concentration of researchers in the 2019 ranking of “Top 500” Nigerian Authors for the year 2019 by SciVal with a total of 18 authors. Also, some of their publications were awarded Best in their categories.
Indeed, God is faithful. Landmark has since 2018 been consistently exceeding its benchmark of minimum 150 publications to sustain her appearance on the revered Scopus platform following the vigorous consolidating drive for publication by the Management ably led by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adeniyi Olayanju. As at this date 30th June 2020, the University has published a whopping 231 Scopus-indexed documents.
