Residents of Ode-Isinbode in Gbonyin Local Government Area of Ekiti State, were on Friday noon thrown into fear, following the invasion of the community by suspected herdsmen who shot a middle-aged man and kidnapped 3 victims.

According to report, they alighted infront of one Mr Ojo Idowu’s (A.K.A Ologbon) sawmill and collected the phones of all the workers there while the manager was locked in his office. They thereafter took charge of the entire route and held down some motorist.

Among those held down was a staff of the FCT development agency who’s an Ode indigene coming home to see his family and was about less than a kilometer to his residence before the ugly incidence. His driver was severely shot and had an intestinal injury in the process.

He was rushed to General Hospital Ode, Ode- Ekiti where a couple of bullets was removed from his right arm and then referred to Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital (ABUAD) where he is currently undergoing an exploratory laparatomy surgical intervention as at the time of this report.

The staff of FCT development agency was taken away with two other people by this herders, their identity remains unknown as at the time of this report.

With the combined effort of the Police, OPC and men of the Nigeria Army, the bushes were still being combed as we speak now but we are yet to receive any news towards the release of the kidnapped.
