Some school owners are very callous like our government. Why wouldn't you pay their salaries? I wonder how we do business. If you can't pay salaries no more, relief them of their employment and if you need to keep them and give them hope of their jobs post COVID19, pay them their salaries as at when due.
To those who might want to rant over my post, it is my right to state what I feel and you have a right to oppose it but please, be mindful of your reactions.

GboyegaD:And are the school owners supposed to go and farm cassava and use the proceeds from the farming to pay teachers sleeping on their beds..
This has nothing to do with the private school owners ...it's business , do you pay your cooks salary when your restaurant has been shut down....
the federal government , in their usual manner of not using their sense ...has all the blame...
You eased the lockdown in all other aspects and left education sector jobless ...common sense implies you distribute palliatives to this teachers every month , as they aren't responsible for the pandemic .....
But how would they think , they probably expect the teachers to start making liquid soaps and driving uber , like their graduates ...

The situation keeps getting worse and worse. Some parents won't risk their ward by sending them to school due to covid-19 pandemic. The last time I received salary was my February salary. I am a mathematics and physics teacher for two privates schools, am paid less than 30k from the two schools. None of the school paid me my March salary not to talk of paying me the other months I stay idle. I can't beg but seriously am broke. And one funny and heartbreaking thing about it is that am a graduate of Electrical Engineering from BUK. May God come to our succor we the private school teachers, Ameen

I feel his pain, things are not easy in times like these, many people have even lost their jobs but the good thing is there are organizations that are willing to help those business ideas you got, so you could easily change your story by banking wisely and doing something epic.
