The Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, has announced 571 new cases of COVID-19 in the country bringing the total to 32,558. 16 new deaths were recorded along with 344 recoveries. Lagos State topped the list. The 571 new cases are reported from 20 states- Lagos(152), Ebonyi(108), Edo(53), Ondo(46), FCT(38), Oyo(20), Kwara(19), Plateau(17), Osun(14), Bayelsa(14), Ekiti(14), Katsina(14), Akwa Ibom(11), Kaduna(11), Rivers(11), Niger(10), Ogun(7), Kano(6), Cross River(4), Bauchi(2). The breakdown in the tweet of NCDC shows that the 571 cases were from 20 different states. Lagos State recorded the highest number of cases with 152. Ebonyi State followed with 108 while Edo State had 53. 344 people recovered, which brings the recoveries up to 13,447 from 13,103. There were also 16 new deaths.
