Politics is full of up and down. The moment you chose to be a politician, you become a public figure.

Political gladiators are believed to do everything with their power to climb certain positions in life. And therefore, in a bid to win people's hearts to themselves, they go outside their will to satisfy the electorates. This is a known fact that is obtainable all over the world.

When a politician insist to have his way without thinking of the negative angle, then he or she is bound to get hurt or regret.

This is just the case of a Uganda political figure that became famous after he reportedly destroyed about 10 boreholes he constructed.

Reports has it that Patrick Okumu-Ringa destroyed 10 boreholes he constructed, after losing Nebbi Parliament Election.

He was reported to have said the people never took him serious despite what he has done for their community. According to him"I am hurt, they took my kindness for granted, they should look for water elsewhere for the meantime"

His action goes on to confirm that politics to him is an investment that has to yield.

He also sees politics as a do or die affair.

He should have been arrested for destruction of public property.

This is the height of it all. But wait, why didn't the people consider him for the post after having alleviated their problem of insufficient/lack of water supply? Perhaps, the other person pose a better CV. If yes, they'd make a good decision but anything otherwise means the people just shot themselves in the foot. It would simply mean that they frustrated him into it.
Now, like he posited, 'they'll need to go hunt for their water as in the past'

Aside morality, what he did is actually illegal and criminal.
Most of the electric poles and even transformers in Nigeria are done by individuals or groups (CDA), upon installation, they become public project, so you can't go on to damage same due to a grievance.
If his country law enforcement should go after him, he go dey claim witch-hunt.
