British Philosopher and scientist William Henry Fox Talbot was a dabbler of renown. In 1833, while on holiday in Italy, he wondered if images his camera threw against paper could be made to imprint themselves. Talbot’s experiments led to the first paper negatives and greatly reduced the exposure time required to make a picture
